Three days to go till Fun Time Friday brings us thirty minutes of pure joy. The start of a new weekend - LIVE from Stanley Grange Community Association, the birthplace of Fun Time Friday.

Join our Music Man Kevin with Stugle plus some of the people we support at Stanley Grange, in Lancashire and a little further afield. There will be the usual mix of dad jokes, dad dancing and daft costumes.

On Sunday, William, Rebecca, Andrew and Serena - four people we support in Milnrow - enjoyed a trip to Gordon Rigg Garden, Home & Leisure Rochdale for the Christmas Fair. The garden centre is noted for going the extra mile with Christmas, which is why they enjoyed seeing Santa and looking for Christmas presents.

They had a great time, stopping at the coffee shop, seeing a Christmas cat, llamas, and a real snowy owl. Only 43 days to go till The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

Coming soon to River Beal Café and Community Hub is the third of our three cancer awareness workshops and art sessions, which will focus on Cervical Cancer. That's on Tuesday 26th November from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. As well as being creative, you will find out about signs and symptoms, cancer screening services, and how to seek advice.

Get the warmest of welcomes on the coldest of afternoons with our Stronger Together Community Choir and Open Mic session at Sale Excelsior Club this afternoon at 1.30 pm. Join our Music Man Kevin and Stugle in our inclusive choir, where you can sing along to your favourite songs.

You can also read your own poetry or sing a song you have written yourself. The fun begins at 1.30pm and hot and cold drinks and snacks are available.

John, one of the people we support at Stanley Grange Community Association, had a trip to remember when he went to London. He stopped at Wembley Stadium connected by EE, Buckingham Palace, and went to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London for Harry Potter World.

Our thanks go to Hashim, his personal assistant who went with John. Also to everyone at Stanley Grange who planned this delightful trip. 👏👏👏

Last Tuesday, Julie, Helen, Pat and Michelle - four people we support at Stanley Grange Community Association had a great ladies day out with their values driven staff Shaheen, Scarlett and Shirley. They went to Build-A-Bear Workshop in Blackpool and had the greatest time of their lives.

At the shop, our staff team got compliments for doing an amazing job with the people we support. Julie was amazed by the big Santa teddy bear, so much she bought her own.

Julie loves Christmas (only 44 days to go!). She also started her letter to Santa, saying she would like a box of chocolates. Good choice.

Antonio and Sarah, two people we support in Milnrow, celebrated Bonfire Night at an organised firework display. They went to one at Milnrow Cricket Club where they enjoyed toffee apples and saw some great fireworks. There was also fairground rides. What a night! 🎇🎆

This time last week, we were watching firework displays or hosting small ones in our gardens. On Tuesday, Eric, Paul, Tony, Patrick, and Audrey - who we support in Broadheath, Altrincham - celebrated Bonfire Night. There was sparklers, food, and a little bonfire in the back garden.

Everybody made iced gingerbread biscuits and had a great time.

Only 48 days to go till Christmas - and 42 days till The Friends For Life Group Christmas Dinner at River Beal Café and Community Hub.

Come and have Christmas Dinner with your friends at The Hub, and have fun with party games on the 19th December at 12.30 pm. You can either go for turkey and all the trimmings or the vegetarian option. Then follow that with Christmas Pudding and custard or cream, or a traditional trifle.

Two weeks on from their last visit to Tenpin Rochdale, Maz and Christine - who we support in Chadderton - were bowling again. This time, with their personal assistants, they took fellow housemate Mark with them. 🎳

After a great game, they finished the day with teatime at The Boat & Horses before getting back home. What a great day. 👍
