Golden Lion

This weekend will be our last so please join us on Saturday night for a big party and send off. We want nothing more than to celebrate the great few months we've at the Golden Lion and end on a high! Thank you again for all the support you've shown myself and Tom since opening in May, we're sad to be saying goodbye.

We're open from 2pm today with a pub quiz at 5pm. £2.50 per person, so feel free to come along without a team as teams will be made up randomly once we know how many are playing. Bottles of wine up for grabs for the winners! We'll also be opening late tonight, rather than closing at our usual 8pm, but we will be closed tomorrow for the Queen's funeral.

We're very sorry to have to be writing this post, but due to increases in many of our bills over recent weeks we've made the decision that we can no longer keep the Golden Lion open. We wish things were different but it's just not possible to continue so we want to have a good couple of weeks before shutting the doors. Our last weekend open will be 1st and 2nd October, we'll be planning some events/parties before we close so check back here for updates. As well as live music on Saturday night, we're making the most of the bank holiday weekend and hosting a curry night on Sunday. Tasty curry, rice, naan and papadums with an alcoholic drink all for £8! Drop us a message to book a table or pop in on the night. Pub quiz to follow with plenty of liquid prizes to be won!

Live music from The Beatniks this Saturday! Open from 4pm as usual with music starting around 7pm. All welcome, come and join us for a night of music and fun. Free entry.

Hello everyone. Some of you may know that myself and Becky have taken over at the Golden Lion, Oswestry.
We will be having a small get together on Friday (1st July) to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary with a glass of fizz for all our friends and regular customers.
