The grand rounded gables of The Wine Portfolio’s Cellar Door are a distinctive feature of the lush green pastures of Katikati, New Zealand. Since 1978 the estate has been a place where winemaking is seen as an art, not just a business.

New Zealand’s temperate, maritime climate and rich, free-draining volcanic soils have brought new intense flavours and styles to the world wine market. With vineyards in prime locations such as Hawkes Bay and Marlborough, The Wine Portfolio combines the finest grapes with the best winemaking techniques, as well as passion from their dedicated winemakers.

They have taken the boutique winery approach to winemaking by controlling the entire process – from grafting our own cuttings, developing our own vineyards and viticultural techniques, and investing in the best technology possible. Owning 503 planted hectares of vineyards, The Wine Portfolio has a secure supply of grapes that are grown specifically to match their wine styles.

It has been more than 60 years since our family is part of this wonderful world of wine. The first steps were given by my parents in San Rafael, province of Mendoza in Argentina. In those lands so far away and yet so endearing to the Spanish emigrants, it was there where with great enthusiasm, tenacity and much effort they made their first wines.

Years later, with much-accumulated experience they decided to return to their origin in Spain following a new dream. From that time until today, Reserva de la Tierra has not left a single moment working, from tradition to innovation in each and every one of the Group’s initiatives.

Today our company is admired and respected around the world for its constant adaptation to changes, its innovative vision and its respect for work in harmony with the environment. A special mention is to be made of our values regarding the people who are a key part of this great family. We especially value honesty and above all the entrepreneurship.

A terroir in the north of Burgundy, a long-established vineyard and winemakers berthed in traditions: a unique crucible of great French wines.

Jules Fillon, with the help of his wife, Camille and their son Louis, who, at the beginning of the 20th century, began to produce wine in order to commercialize it. In 1935, Louis and his wife, Helene, settled in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux at 53 rue Bienvenue Martin, still the home of the estate. At 14, Marc, son of Louis and Helene, began working with his father. In 1985, Herve, son of Mark, decided to join the family business and five years later it was the turn of Frederique, the 3rd daughter of Marc. In 1986, the winery located under the house is not big enough, Frederique and Herve decide to build a winery at the bottom of the village. In 2000, Frederqiue and Herve bought a second cellar because the first is no longer sufficient.

Today, the Fillon estate has 35 hectares of vines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Aligote.

Since its inception in 2000, Attis has gained an almost cult-like status in Spain, recognised not just for the purity and complexity of their Albariños but also their ground breaking 'Atlantic Reds.'

The Farina brothers call the shots here, Robustiano and Baldomero, ably assisted by French oenologist Jean Francois Hebrand and the extended family, including Robustiano Jr. The 12ha estate is located in the Val do Salnes in the heart of Rias Baixas. The vineyards (almost entirely pergola trained) overlook the Arousa estuary and the Atlantic beyond. The rhythm of the estate is of course dictated almost entirely by the ocean and no wine better encapsulates this than Attis Mar which was submerged in a (secret!) inlet and gently rocked by the currents for six months.
