We have a new partnership with .fr , the French national domain name registry responsible for managing the .fr top-level domains (ccTLD). This is a significant milestone for us as we are both committed to education and research on the domain name system. We look forward to collaborating on joint research projects to drive progress in these critical areas.

In Alex Deacon's latest blog, he explores the prevalence of privacy/proxy services associated with domain names listed on abuse block lists. Using DAP.LIVE, we found that 88% of abusively registered domain names have unavailable registration information, with 65% using privacy/proxy services and 22% having redacted details. This is a contrast to general domain registrations, where only 29.2% use privacy/proxy services. These findings highlight the reliance on privacy/proxy services by malicious actors and the pressing need for robust policies to ensure accountability, particularly to mitigate the misuse of domains by malicious actors.
