We’re back in the studio and back to the detail! Following on from my recent shares on control panels and decorative ironmongery I was thinking about metal finishes and how we always try to match or intentionally mix and match for all the hardware and brassware in projects. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Matching brassware, ironmongery and sockets used to be very tricky and once restricted to nickel or brass. In recent years the ranges of metal finishes available from all our wonderful suppliers has become impressively vast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think this is a topic we’ll revisit over and over as its so important for the flow of a space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s so important to consider all levels and plains of a space when designing the lighting and it’s something we spend a lot of time considering. We always like to get a brief of how our Clients will inhabit the space, different scenarios. It can either melt into the background, not drawing the eye but just adding to the space, or perhaps the design calls for more of a feature, that does draw your eye.
