👶🏻Teething can be distressing for some babies, but there are ways to make it easier for them.

Our little one is struggling with his little toothy pegs so his dentist daddy gave them a once over whilst visiting today.

Every baby is different, and you may have to try a few different things until you find something that works for your baby.

Teething rings/toys
Raw vegetables if your baby is 6 months or older (always watch your baby whilst they’re doing this)
Teething Gels and Granules (Ashton & Parsons is a favourite of ours)
Paracetamol & Ibuprofen (always read the label for appropriate dosage)
Rubbing the gums with a clean finger
TLC (lots of cuddles and playing can help distract your baby)

Both these patients were conscious of a tooth appearing darker than the other teeth and wanted to know their treatment options to improve the cosmetics but also the health of the tooth.

The first patient required a Root canal
re-treatment with our specialist endodontist to improve the health of the tooth, we proceeded with internal whitening of the darker tooth followed by external whitening of all the teeth and finish with some minimal edge bonding.

The second patient only required internal whitening of the darker lower central teeth which had been previously root canal treated. The patient was happy with the results of this and didn’t wish to whiten the remaining teeth.

Both patients also saw our Hygiene team and had EMS Airflow treatment to ensure the health of their teeth and gums whilst also improving the colour and removing stains.

Two amazing results and more importantly two happy patients!

This patient had not seen a dentist for quite some time due to dental anxiety. She made the brave decision to come and see us for a new patient examination we tried our best to go at a pace that suited her and made sure she was comfortable throughout her treatment.

The treatment was extensive and took some time but this patient was extremely compliant and committed to improving her oral health, which resulted in a healthy beautiful smile.

She also applied for finance to help stage the payments so she did not have the extra worry of paying for the treatment all in one go.
