Complicated feelings today. Happy Mothering Sunday to you … being a mother - there were three or four years when I thought it wouldn’t happen, having a mother, losing a mother… all too much to celebrate in one day. But I suppose in some ways it’s good to take a day to reflect on it all… life is short, so much to be grateful for even the losses - which mean we we have loved. Sending love to you ❤️
Celebrating International Women’s Day this week, this month and all year. That’s what I do - the purpose of Wear and Resist is to celebrate and empower women, and to speak up and claim our space. Every time I compile your Persisterhood images - and there are always too many to do justice to the true scope, I feel incredibly honoured to have made the jewellery you wear 🥲. You’re f**king amazing and you don’t need a day to tell you. But unfortunately in 2024 we still need a day to fight for the rights of women - to ask to be treated equally and not be murdered. It makes me angry… but anger was the emotion that fuelled me to start Wear and Resist so I will co time to use it to power me onwards! I will be using this week to focus on the charities we support, and the incredible work they do.
