How many people does it take to get a cow in for a TB test . ......well it took 6 of us this morning and 40 mins later he is finally in the crush. Vet took 1 sec to check and to pass us for TB all worth the running around!! That’s my workout for the day done breakfast then off to work while Barney the steer can have a nice rest after running us about this morning 😂🐮🐮🐮

It’s Standlake Village Market this Saturday 11-1. As it’s national sausage week I will be there selling Gloucester old Spot sausages 3 packs for £12. Limited stock available so best be quick!! 🐷🐷.

Glad it’s a little cooler pigs are happier!! 🐷🐷. Busy day yesterday moved Tina the Berkshire in with Walter. Chris borrowed a JCB and mucked out the cow shed and pushed up muck heaps.

We will be there selling Gloucester old spot pork sausages,belly slices, ribs all great for the BBQ. Also I have gammon joints. steaks, hand of pork and shoulder joint (great for pulled pork). Just want something for a cooked breakfast I now have Gloucester old spot back bacon and of course sausages!!

Hay all in which is a lovely feeling. Spotty piglets now weaned off and in as they have all been sold and being picked up next week. ☀️🐷

I will also be selling for the first time succulent fresh gammon steaks, joints and back bacon. Pop down for a cuppa and a cake.

Busy time on the farm. Grass growing well in this lovely sunshine 🌞, last years lambs had a haircut yesterday. Even George the boar is enjoying a bit of sun!! I have lots of stock in for BBQ’s belly slices, sausages, hands of pork and shoulder joints great for pulled pork recipes. Bacon being collected next week. PM me or pop down the farm once it’s gone it’s gone!!!

We’ve had a rubbish end to last week. We sadly lost one of our cows only 24hrs after calving. We had to bottle feed her little heifer calf named Kylie every few hours. Went to feed her yesterday and we looked over the gate to find another cow has taken her on and is letting her feed off her!!! How sweet fingers crossed a happy ending!! 🐮🐮

Berkshire x Gloucester old spot sausages for tea. Very tasty if I do say so myself. We will be down Northmoor village market on Saturday with sausages, pork steaks, shoulder and leg joints. Come for a wander round and have a slice of cake and a cuppa.

Second calf born this morning a lovely bull calf. Girls have names him Kevin!!
