Big well done to the team this weekend who done a great job working in collaboration with the University of Oxford to assist them with their summer balls.

We had the pleasure of helping set up the Worcester College Ball and then managing the security for the night which had over 1500 students attend which was a fantastic night for all involved. We also worked with Lincare College with their bop which was also a smooth and good night.

We are well and truly in the summer flow with every weekend looking more busy than the last!

Scope Security had the privilege of being invited out to Albania to help assist FGH Security working on both Kala and Explorations festivals.

It was a great two weeks where both Eraldo and Almpan were given the opportunity to further their knowledge by working at some really great festivals. A big thank you to FGH for inviting us out there.

The summer is only just getting started with many more events and festivals coming up!

Scope was honoured to work with the SIA, emergency services, the Princess Royal’s Volunteer Corps and club staff on the SIA’s programme of simulated safety exercises.
Yesterday we were in Windsor to carry out a number of simulated events in a local nightclub. Counter Terror policing and the emergency services were on hand to help guide and debrief staff on best response.
The simulated events are aimed at increasing public safety the night time economy by putting into practice the ACT e-learning training packages recommended to all security operatives.
It was an enjoyable, yet important exercise that has helped our senior staff put their training into practice.

Lest we forget ..

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Art Lekaj, who died this week after battling a prolonged illness.

Art was a valued, long serving employee. To many of us at Scope Security he was not just a colleague, but a good friend. Art was loyal, hard working and well respected both in the community and within our Scope Security family. His presence will be forever missed.

Our thoughts and and deepest sympathy go out to Art’s family at this truly difficult time.

If you would like to pay your respects, the wake will be held at The Bullingdon (Cowley Road, Oxford, OX41UE) on Sunday 9th October 2022 08:00-13:00.

Her remarkable 70 year reign leaves a legacy behind that will be remembered by all.

Happy International Women’s Day

From today in England, people who receive positive lateral flow device (LFD) test results for coronavirus (COVID-19) won’t be required to take a confirmatory PCR test and should self-isolate as they normally would.

This is a temporary measure while COVID-19 rates remain high across the UK.

As new rules come into place from today all staff will need to be familiar of what is required:

From 15 December, certain venues & events will be required by law to check that all visitors aged 18+ are fully vaccinated (currently two doses of a vaccine but this will be kept under review) or have proof of a negative lateral flow test.
