In some cases, these issues do not become apparent until months or years after the wallpaper has been set in place. That’s why the ideal approach is to take the time and effort to prepare your wall—it can save a lot of trouble down the road.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿? Improper Hanging Technique.
Torque occurs when trying to match edges or patterns, usually after coming out of an unlevel inside corner. As you twist the paper to make the seams or pattern match, it will create a wrinkle or crease somewhere on the panel.

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸?
As wallpaper dries, it's not uncommon for it to shrink. If you're not sure how to stop this, never pull or stretch the paper during application.
Make sure if your wallpaper is above a radiator that you turn it off for a few days whilst the paper dries out. Most importantly, stick to the golden rule of never overworking the seams.

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁?
While you can wallpaper over gloss paint, it isn't ideal. If you are adding wallpaper to a glossy wall, it's best to sand down the wall and coat it with primer beforehand. This will make sure you don't leave any areas of shine, while also helping the adhesive stick well to the wall.

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀
Use a 3/8-inch nap roller to ensure even coverage of the adhesive on the back of the paper.
Make sure enough adhesive is applied to the edges of the wallpaper. A lack of adhesive can cause seams to open when drying.
Follow the manufacturer’s recommended booking times before hanging.
Clean up any excess paste from your table before pasting your next sheet.

𝗪𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 is made from natural fibers such as paper, jute, or grass, and are woven together to form a fabric-like material. This type of wallpaper is durable, breathable, and environmentally friendly. These papers need to be “booked” before hanging to allow the paper time to relax off the wall. “Booking” is the method of folding the wallpaper in on itself after pasting to allow it to relax and to keep it from drying out.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 you’ll love long-term, remember that not every wallpaper will work for every room. Just because you like the look of a pattern, doesn’t mean that it’s the right pick for your home project. Obtain a sample and tape to the wall and look at it for several days until you’re sure about the pattern and colour.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹?
We recommend using a dry microfiber towel to remove dust and debris. A damp cloth may be used to lightly clean surface. Regular cleaning eliminates dust, air-borne grease particles, fingerprints, and daily grime. It also helps keep wallcovering in good condition and extends its lifespan.

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀
Since murals are an enlargement of a singular image, that image often needs to be sized to your particular wall. Otherwise, you run the risk of the graphic being cut off in an awkward spot. As such, most murals are “print to order” based on your unique wall measurements. This way, you can be certain your mural will not only fit, but the image will also look complete after installation.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹?
It is a single image or design that is printed onto several wallpaper panels. When the panels are hung on the wall together (in the correct order), they form the complete image. Wallpaper murals do not typically feature a recurring, repeatable pattern. Rather, they are usually full scenes (e.g., mountains, sky, forest, etc); although, pretty much any image can be printed onto a mural these days!

This is to ensure no bubbles are present and the joins are perfectly aligned and matched. Different lights filtering through show up different aspects so artificial light may show a bubble that wasn’t seen in daylight.
