Oxford Lead for Sustainability Mentorship Is Accepting Applications for the 2022/23 Programme!
Application Link: https://forms.gle/YWu2tNRVEJXWvBGk9
Application Deadline: 31st October, 2022
Are you interested in a career in sustainability or climate change but unsure of where to begin? Following its success in 2020 and 2021, the World Economic Forum Global Shapers - Oxford Hub is launching the "Lead for Sustainability" mentorship programme for the third time! As a result of the various inputs from mentors and mentees, we focused on improving the programme framework and the impact structure.
"My mentor helped a lot to centre myself in corporate sustainability as a lawyer. She showed me how companies can make themselves accountable and influence the whole supply chain. It also allowed me to understand the cultural differences in application processes for careers in Europe and America”
- MSc Student at University of Oxford, Lead for Sustainability 2020
One of our mentors expressed - "The interaction with the mentees is quite interactive and beneficial in building new networks. The 2021 cycle went well and was successful and enjoyable. Both mentees are still in contact and both have succeded in securing stable career opportunities."
Lead for Sustainability intends to connect Oxford-area university students with sustainability professionals as mentors to inspire bright, young people to take a more active part in determining the future of the world.
Encouragement of young people to learn more about jobs in sustainability is one of the best methods to inspire them to take on leading roles in tackling climate change.
As we come to the end of another Lead for Sustainability Mentorship programme, we are very excited for the closing ceremony next week.
In this 2021-2022 edition, we have served over 70+ mentees with 40+ mentors joining us on our journey to amplify positive impact to inspire and guide career conversations in sustainability and beyond.
Stay tuned for more.
