Triple distilled and matured solely in American bourbon casks. The result: a Lowland Single Malt Whisky with the sweet aromas of vanilla and coconut – along with the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.

The weekend is finally here. We have a couple of new lines in the fridge. Well one is an old dog the other is a brand new product. A low alcohol shandy in a can from .shack the rhubarb lager will transport you back to being in a sweet shop ordering rhubarb custards. The old dog is a favourite amongst our team. So why not pop along and try something new this weekend.

*SIX NATIONS OFFER* While any 6 nations games are being shown in the pub. We will be serving 2 pint Steins of Hofmeister for £10. Starting at 8pm tonight with France vs Ireland. We will also be serving our delicious pies as usual.

*Whisky of the week* is Glasgow Blend from this is a blend of lowland grains and predominantly Islay and Speyside malts. Aged in a combination of ex bourbon and sherry casks.

Ok it’s December so we can officially bang on about possibly the most Christmassy pub in Oxford. Defintely to best place to have a Christmas drink with you mates, work colleagues or just drop in on your tod for a lovely dram or piping hot mulled wine!!

Weather is rather chilly today. Come and vist The Vic for Oxford’s tastiest homemade mulled wine. None of that pre bottled nonsense here thank you very much!!

Did you know the Aussies make a lot of fine whisky. There are over 80 distilleries in Tasmania alone!!

Our whisky of the week Fortis hails from Melbourne and is a big bold single malt. . Matured in American oak that previously held Aussie red wine.

They may be rubbish at rugby these days but at least they make some great whisky, bit like Scotland!!😉

We are probably the only pub in Oxford that Inspector Morse DIDN’T drink in but if he did, his Jag would have looked like this!!

Whisky of the week is Glen Elgin 12 Year old. A really fruity whisky which makes it a favourite for independent blenders as well as being one of the whiskies that are the bricks and mortar of red label.

Also, just so you know mulled wine is back!!!
