Have I ever told you I’m a roller coaster enthusiast? 🫣

This time of year never fails to temporarily make me feel completely inadequate. Scrolling down my feed and seeing my stats compared to my peers and my heroes really hammers home just how small a fish I am.

This year, I finally released my EP a week before Spotify stopped compiling data for wrapped. With that in mind, and upon reminding myself I am worth more than statistics, I’m SO proud of what I have achieved with my music this year. At the end of the day, I’m just a girl working 2 day jobs and making music with my best friend with a dream in my pocket. Anything on top of that, is a bonus. To every single person that has added a tally on these statistics, thank you. Thank you for giving my music a chance. Thank you for sharing my art. Thank you for believing in me. I’m marching into 2024 with a brand new body of work under my belt and I’m so proud of myself and grateful to you all for that.

Numbers don’t matter, but the people that come together to form those numbers matter more than they can ever know. Thank you all 🖤

2023 is the year of the ep. brace for impact.

MY SKIN

I originally edited this to blur my acne, but it looked too weirdly smooth so I clicked undo and left it as an image I’d probably never use. But today, I came back to it. I edited it as I would have if I were satisfied with the blurring. This is the final image. Acne texture unedited.

Being 24 and having regular cystic acne flair ups can REALLY suck, especially when your face is part of your “brand”. It’s one of my biggest insecurities. There are so many connotations to having acne. You’re hormonal, stressed, unhealthy, dirty. In reality, my skin is just different from most peoples, and that’s okay. I don’t have to edit it away. I don’t have to cover it up. I can if I want, of course, but I don’t HAVE to. So here’s my bumpy, textured skin for you…because I didn’t want to hide it.

I know these are rookie numbers but god I’m happy with them. I released one song this year and it was pretty bloody niche, to get numbers like this is amazing.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to every one of you that has streamed/bought my music this year (and thank you for the continued love on my old stuff).

I’m taking baby steps towards achieving my goals and none of them would even be in sight without you lot supporting me.

It also wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful - my bestie, collaborator and producer. My partner in crime. Thank you for all that you do for me, I couldn’t ask for more.
