A change of scenery for me today, through in Edinburgh thanks to a recommendation from a previous customer.

My new customer wanted a bookcase formed of rustic style oak bespoke shelving, these were custom made to fit the space available.

Busy day for me today. At 3 different clients homes, not all jobs that are carried out are photographed, so just a quick reminder no matter how big or small your job is I am happy to carry out.

First job was some door trimming for a customer who had had new carpets fitted, second job was the fitting of new skirting boards to a bedroom and my third job was the supply and install of these lovely bespoke oak shelves.

These lovely oak floating shelves are stunning, they were specifically manufactured for my clients specific sizing, and can be custom made to any size to suit your requirements.

The old flooring was lifted from the ground floor hallway, living room, top floor landing and spare room, then the new flooring along with underlay and skirtings was fitted.
This job was a fit only with my customer supplying all materials, which is something we are more than happy to do.

When a good customer of mine, contacted me to say he had some artwork he’d like on the walls, I wasn’t quite prepared for this, some amazing pieces of art by a Scottish artist, however it was fun and a challenge, needless to say my customer was thrilled.

My customer wanted to change the space under their staircase into a toilet room.

This was a great idea however not entirely straightforward as we had to dig a trench the length of the house to allow for new waste pipe to go in, then we ran the new pipe work from the kitchen.

We then Formed a partition with new door way to the toilet and formed a cupboard with access to electric meter.

We installed a wc and wash hand basin and a heated towel rail and the walls were finished off with UPVC panels.

Needles to say my customer is over the moon that they don’t have to climb their stairs so often.

All this couldn’t have happened without the excellent McNicol Plumbing and Heating.

Out at Auchterarder at what was Stewart Milne site. Sad to see homes half built and left unfinished.
My customer luckily had just got her house before they went into administration, but had a long list of snagging, I was happy to assist with these issues, but most importantly insulating areas of the house that had been completely missed, causing drafts and some rooms were extremely cold.
If you know anyone that has been left in a similar situation please don’t hesitate to contact me, or for any other joinery jobs.

My customer had a loft that had previously been insulated, but required it to be floored, to provide extra storage.

The insulating material was piled up above the level of the joists, making it tricky to attach OSB Flooring boards over it, but I got there!
