Friends of Heltwate are planning to treat all students to an Easter Egg/Easter Treat, (depending on dietary requirements) before the Easter Holidays. In order to fundraise towards this, the committee is running an Easter Cake Raffle that our wonderful TA, Liz, is baking for us, (cake is as pictured - how amazing does that look?!).

Raffle tickets are priced at £1 each. Money can be sent into school in a clearly labelled envelope, OR payments can be made via PayPal, ([email protected]). Staff will add your name to a raffle square and then all squares will be added to the draw, (we won't be sending tickets home).

There will be a Facebook live stream of the draw at 1pm on Friday lunchtime, via our Friends of Heltwate page, (https://www.facebook.com/specialschoolpta)

Coral and Orange students had a wonderful time today, raising money at The Golden Fleece in Stamford. They practiced money skills, social skills and even some haggling and bartering skills!
An amazing £546 was raised at the event, bringing our Charity Week total to a staggering £1291.73 😆

Roll up, roll up! We are kicking off Heltwate charity week at Stamford’s Rock on the Rec! We have homemade cakes and bakes, delicious fudge, a kids’ lucky dip and DJ Bazza is in charge of the jewellery stall! There’s live music, food stalls, fairground rides and more! We look forward to seeing you if you can make it 😃

I am pleased to inform you that our annual GRAND RAFFLE is now open! This is to raise funds for the school. The raffle will be run on a square system. Participants purchase a square, (staff will add names on your behalf), then all squares will be cut up and entered into a prize draw. Each square costs just £1. The raffle will be drawn on Thursday 6th July at our annual charity event, hosted by The Golden Fleece in Stamford. Coral Class have made some fabulous posters for the event, which will be displayed in the Golden Fleece before the big day! It would be lovely to see you at the fundraiser if you are free on the day, we promise lots of yummy cakes!

Wow! The children are in for a treat today! The egg hunt is set up ready for the children to enjoy. Let’s hope they have lots of fun! Thank you all, without your support we wouldn’t be able to provide these experiences for our students. We are sure they will all be gratefully received.

Had a little helper alongside us today as we paid over £3,500 into our charity bank account. Money was donated in memory of a wonderful lady and her father, alongside the fundraising event on Friday evening. Times are tough for everyone, but the generosity and kindness shown towards our charity, (and the amazing students we support) is overwhelming 🥹

I'm pleased to announce that Friday's charity gig raised an amazing £2,608.37!!!!
A massive thank you to Hannah Forman, Colin Hodgkinson and Marcus Bonfanti for making this happen. Friends of Heltwate never imagined a member of a band that played in the original Woodstock lineup would be fundraising for us! Just amazing! 😍😍😍

These young people have done Heltwate proud this evening. They have been fundraising at the Parkway Club for Friends of Heltwate, at the Steamin’ Blues gig which has been organised to raise money for our wonderful school. We have danced, we have laughed and we have had a lovely time!

A fabulous event taking place in aid of our fabulous school! We hope you can make it! ☺️

Friends of Heltwate were lucky enough to be donated £3500, due to fundraising efforts of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes at Eastgate Lodge 6393. Today, students in Coral Class learnt about what a cheque is and how they work, before travelling into Peterborough to pay the cheque into the charity bank account. We are very grateful to receive such a generous donation from the RAOB 😊

At 1.30am this morning, 45 Heltwaters headed off to Disneyland, Paris! This was only possible due to everyone’s support of the Friends of Heltwate charity and our fundraising events. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this possible; we have some incredibly excited kids, (and adults!) aboard! 🎄 🚌 ⛴️
