Fyi dog owners!! Important information

It's gardening season and there is nothing more beautiful than a bed of Borzoi 💐

Sasha's beginnings were particularly hard. She came into NBRF's care a little over 4 years ago, terrified and in great need. Physically, she has a heart murmur requiring once a year echocardiogram testing, thorough lab work and many OTC supplements to help keep her heart in stasis.

"Sasha's emotional wounds run deep. Loud noises still startle her and she won't take food from our hand unless it's something she's had many times and really wants. Though less leery of men she is a Momma's girl now.

A girl who never barked, other than when dreaming, asserted herself a couple of months ago when she wanted Mom to get out of bed. It wasn't really a loud one but it was a bark!

Her safe places are usually in a corner or really close to Mom. If Mom is gone for an appointment Sasha will eventually come to me, the Dad. Pats are accepted only on her terms.

We are so glad we can take care of and nurture Sasha. She continues to come out of her shell and enjoy being a dog."

Thank you Tom and Susan Norris for opening your hearts and home to this deserving girl! Your patience and love continue to change her life in the most wonderful of ways!
