Our history goes way back to the late 19th century. Photos from back then unfortunately don't exist, but these photos from the 1970s give a nice glimpse into the times of that era.

Back then Paint factory 't Anker and Stuy Verven were still two separate companies. At the time, Adriaan Stuy sold his products from the Frisian town Gorredijk, which were delivered by employees in a Mercedes van.

In 1978, Stuy took over 't Anker, creating Anker Stuy Coatings. Four years later, the location (shown in the photos) in Gorredijk was exchanged for our current location in Terwispel. Since 2019 we also operate in the UK with our office in Peterborough.

🐶 It's not just doors, windows and kitchens that Aveyard Bespoke Carpentry produces. Sometimes there are these special requests, like this bespoke dog bed and shower! Unusual but - as always - beautifully executed by Matt and his team. 👌

The paint used for this project is our Ankocryl (17-0559 Ankocryl ISO primer and 17-0870 Ankocryl Interior Natural Matt), tinted in Charleston Gray from Farrow & Ball.
