I’M BACK 😜

Had an amazing summer holiday with my family to Egypt, lots of snorkelling, sun, sand, sun loungers and (welcome) shade 😂

I am back baking for Hill Farm. This will be my last year baking for them as I’m now undertaking a new challenge away from baking. So, you have until the end of October to grab a slice or two 🍰🍰

Don’t panic though, I will still be here doing seasonal treat boxes (next one is Halloween) and birthday cakes made to order. I am getting booked up fast so make sure I have you in the diary 📔

🎄🎅🏼 I know it’s early, not that the supermarkets care, I will be starting Christmas cakes soon so let me know if you need one this year.

Last few cakes of the summer….so far!

I’m now off until 27/8 so will not be taking orders or replying to messages during this time. It’s time for me to have some fun with my family so I’ll see you on the other side 😂😂

A huge happy birthday to my mum Pat for Sunday! She’ll be busy working but I’m sure all the visitors to the Pig and Abbot will help her celebrate 🥳

Good Morning

It’s Monday 🥳. I’ve been up since 6:30 baking before it gets too hot 🥵 I’ve been absent for a while but purely because I keep forgetting to post my bakes!

I’m still really busy with Hill Farm bakes but here’s a few of the other cakes I’ve been doing. I’ve actually forgotten to photograph a few 🫣

Our summer has started fairly well and, now the suns decided to show itself, we’re getting time out in the pool. Please remember I’ll be taking a break from everything (mostly messages) between 8/8 and 26/8, so there’ll be no orders taken for those dates, those I have ordered will be honoured.

How’s your week going? Can’t say I’m loving cooking in the heat but loving a cool down in the pool 😜

Just wanted to let you know of a few changes here at CWL:

🧁 Firstly, I’m taking a break between 6th August and 27th August, there is limited space in my diary before this.

🧁 Also, and this is most important, from September 1st I will be limiting the number of bookings I take each week so if you need a specific date, get it booked in 😉. I don’t want any disappointment because I cannot fit you in.

🧁 Last minute orders will no longer be accepted and all bookings will need a deposit paid.

🧁From September, collection times will be between 3:30pm and 7pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am - 10:30am on Saturdays with no collections Sunday and Monday

I have an important announcement and it will take effect immediately.

I WILL NO LONGER BOOK IN COLLECTIONS ON A SUNDAY AND ALL SATURDAY COLLECTIONS MUST BE MADE BY NOON. Any late arrivals will not receive the order and will forfeit the deposit. I will also be closing my order book for any orders for Monday collection, current orders will be honoured.

This does not affect treat box collections coming up but I can no longer sustain this level of availability especially as I’m not spending family Sundays with my family.

I’ve had a cake on order since February and to say I’ve been having nightmares is an understatement. I’ve worried about it and how am I going to do that? 🫣. I’ve put off making the model, even hoped my husband would do it but he’s off on a work trip in 2 hours so I’ve had no choice. I’m happy to say 3 hours and it’s done, mostly! It still needs its blade attaching so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Shame my dad isn’t around to give me pointers (he had a few). No cake yet as it’s being collected on Thursday but this gives you a hint 😂

Today, I’ll be tackling some models including a chainsaw 🫣 and preparing for my son’s school trip. Yes, for those who know, he’s not going for another 11 days but busy busy next weekend so can’t shop. Speaking of, DON’T FORGET TO ORDER YOUR TREAT BOX for pick up on Friday 🧁

Here’s a cake I made for my lovely neighbour back in March. She loves Gonks and had no idea about it. In fact I was almost caught when she came around to order another cake and this was (luckily) in the fridge. I’m sure her husband was testing me 😜😂 As my children look after their cat from time to time, we have a key to their house so she had a big surprise when she got home 😂

I’m on catch up today, this weekends cake took so much longer than I anticipated so a little behind with EVERYTHING! 🫣

As you know we’ve got a 3 day weekend coming up, just get over the next 2 day one, and it’s pay day 🥳. I’ve had a few people ask when my next treat box is coming and I thought why not on the bank holiday 🥳
