Does anyone fancy a Series III project? Ours, unfortunately, needs a little more than we're capable of giving it...

Our Editor has been adding toys from the Jaguar options catalogue to his newly purchased X350 - and has found to his surprise that different model years use different fixings for the rear view mirrors. The one he bought - which won't fit his car - is now on a popular auction site...

Have you ever bought parts to upgrade your Jaguar? Have you ever bought something you then found wouldn't fit? Let us know in the comments.

It's new issue time again! In our July issue, Paul Walton drives the F-TYPE's maddest iteration, the Project 7. We look back at the D-type on its 70th anniversary, and Craig Cheetham tests the X-TYPE 2.0d against the equally soulful Alfa Romeo 156 JTD.

We speak to Liqui Moly about engine flushing and additives, and Rob Hawkins shows you how to fit electric power steering to the Mk2 family. And if you're looking to buy an E-type Series 3, don't miss our buying guide.

Personal request from the Editor. I'm still driving about in a borrowed X-TYPE belonging to senior contributor Craig Cheetham, and I don't want to abuse his generosity by hanging onto it forever. I've had no luck so far in finding the right X350 in any of the classifieds for various reasons (though I've enquired about a few and may be viewing one next week), so I'm appealing to you in the hope you might have something not yet listed for sale.

What I'm looking for:

2003-2005 only.
3.0 V6 petrol. The right TDVi might also appeal.
Not in Sport spec - personal taste. Early Sovereign or SE preferred.
Cream interior preferred.
Heated front seats.
Heated front screen.
Under £3,000.

Mileage and history don't matter as much as condition to me. Ideally, the car would be within three hours of King's Lynn or Peterborough, but I would go further for the right example.

Does anybody know of a car that might possibly fit the bill?

It's new issue time again! In our July issue, Paul Walton drives a 700bhp XKR, we look back at the XK140-based Rixon Bucknall special, and we test the S-TYPE against its benchmark, the BMW E39.

We speak to Better Car Lighting about LED conversions, and Rob Hawkins shows you how to change the spark plugs on your AJ-V6. And if you're looking to buy an E-PACE, don't miss our buying guide.

That's it then. Jaguar's last internal combustion engined saloon and sports cars were completed today at Castle Bromwich, ahead of the marque's electric reinvention.

But what, in your opinion, was the best internal combustion engine Jaguar ever used?

Today's job, in between putting the mag together, is preparing and priming a new sunroof for the Series III project. And we've found an ironing board makes an excellent bench for paint prep.

It's new issue time! In the new Jaguar World, we take one of the last F-TYPE Rs to North Yorkshire to evaluate this model a decade after its launch, we look at how to buy the best X351 XJ, and we celebrate fifty years of the end of the E-type by looking at the very last example. In our twin test, we pit the Jaguar XJ-SC 3.6 against its chief rival, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. A fleet of racers joins Our Jaguars, Paul Walton drives the last X150 XKR, and we solve S-TYPE door lock problems.

In the latest issue, on sale now, we look back at the S-TYPE as it turns 25. Paul Walton drives a former Coomb demonstration E-type, and we pit the XJ6 2.8 against its closest in-house rival.

We've also got our new project car, shown in print for the first time, we look at Jaguar's history with the police, and we revisit the E-PACE, the SUV world's forgotten underdog. All this plus news, workshops, and everything else great about the world of Jaguar.

On sale now in all good retailers.

It's front end Friday, and we're twisting things up a bit. This is the front of the interior of our new Daimler project car, and our editor is midway through fitting a Better Car Lighting LED dashboard upgrade, which will be documented in a future issue. The dials are in and the switchgear is in progress.

We find Gil at Better Car Lighting a pleasure to deal with, and his kits are excellent quality. LED interior lights reduce strain on older wiring and offer improved light output - this shows the dials at full strength, but the LEDs we have are dimmable in case this seems too bright in use.

Go to www.bettercarlighting.co.uk if you're tempted to follow suit.

What's the best modification you've made to improve the usability of your car?

Another personal plea from the editor. In the next issue, you'll be introduced to our new Series III project, and there are a few items we could do with. Does anybody know of a breaker? We're after a good rust free sunroof panel, a used Kent centre cap, and a good used Daimler horn push trim. Can anybody help?

We've got fleet updates, special examples of special models, and tests against period rivals for you - and if that isn't enough to whet your appetite we've sent Paul Walton out to try the most extreme X150 of the lot, the XKR-S GT. Faced with a lack of working vehicles this week, our editor was forced to use his four seat Daimler Six for a routine visit to the vet. Sadly, his passengers weren't in a position to enjoy the picnic tables or electric rear seats...

Time for a new issue - and a new editor. Inside, we've got the tenth anniversary of the XFR-S Sportbrake, an early E-type, a near concours MkIX saloon, and we've pitted the XJS 4.0 against its six-cylinder sibling, the DB7 3.2. If you want to enjoy Jaguar life on a budget, we show you what you need to know to buy an X-Type diesel, and Rob Hawkins is back in the workshop with two great tech features.
