Yesterday afternoon, during our whole school transition, we took our year 6โs to Super Tramp! All of the children (and staff) and lots of fun burning lots of energy! ๐
This morning, our Girls Club went for a walk in Widey woods to hide pebbles that they have painted.
They had watermelon and strawberries while they listened to a story and shared friendship bracelets.
Such a beautiful morning! โ๏ธ ๐ฏโโ๏ธ
What a fantastic day today for sports day for some of our classes! Hereโs a few sneak peek pictures of our class teams getting the hall set up! More pictures to follow ๐คญ๐ซ
This morning, pupils from Mill Ford and Cann Bridge joined some of our pupils here at Courtlands on the field for an athletics event! All of our pupils were beautifully behaved and engaged well, despite the heat. Well done to all the children who took part today and a big thank you to the adults who supported with this๐
Otter class keeping cool today whilst fully engaged in their learning! โ๏ธ๐ค
Congratulations to Otter class (and additional helpers!) who have completed a collective 130+ laps of the playground in order to raise money the NHS, entirely inspired by Sir Captain Tom Moore walking 100 laps of his garden during lockdown which was the core of our learning last term. We aimed for 100 laps and exceeded it due to everyoneโs support. A huge thank you to all the classes/staff/children who came out to support and cheer them on, it helped hugely and it was much appreciated! ๐
Otter class raised ยฃ300 for the NHS! Well done!
We are pleased to share with you the designs for the big and little playground! We are super excited for the children to have safe and fun playground to play in ๐ซ
On Wednesday, some of our children went to Harpers Football Centre (was Goals) and took part in an Inclusion Football Competition against other primary schools. The children did so well and scored a few goals throughout the morning, but what was so special was the children were working as a team, sharing the ball and communicating with each other and then celebrating each others achievements. It was a fantastic morning and we are so proud of the 5 boys who went along.
Well done Courtlands! ๐

Transforming Futures Trust is disappointed with the recent Ofsted report for Courtlands Special School. Despite this challenging outcome, we acknowledge the school needs improvement and have been making significant progress over the past year, ensuring a safe environment and sound governance. We believe the report does not accurately reflect the evidence and have raised this with Ofsted. Our commitment to rapid and sustainable improvement remains unwavering as we intensify our plans to address the issues. Thank you for your continued support.
