This performance will be focusing more on the mental health themes of the play followed by a Q&A where the audience are invited to discuss what context piece might be best suited- educational, theatrerical, corporate, charity focused or community etc.

'Collateral Cubicle' is back!

After fantastic audience feedback from our first public performance, 'Collateral Cubicle' is back for another Rehearsed Reading!

Join us at the Oxford House Creative Hub on Sunday 21st of August, starting at 7pm.

Synopsis:

Jodie wakes up, locked in a toilet cubicle after a night of heavy drinking. She soon learns that there is a male stranger (‘Toilet Voice’) in the adjacent cubicle. Jodie is unfiltered, exhausted and can’t be arsed…but hates the silence. She reluctantly engages in conversation as Toilet Voice attempts to share about himself. We travel through the night on the back of the stories the pair exchange. Silly, outrageous and touching but what happened the night before?

This will be a script-in-hand version of the play with a post-show Q&A. It is vital that we receive feedback as part of the show’s development. Bring your questions and support us in raising awareness for mental health, su***de and bereavement.

Please come to the Soapbox Theatre in Devonport Park, Plymouth to watch the awesome J.J McColl and the outstanding Cathy Parkin perform.

This is a paid role, matching ITC rates.
We are about to enter an exploratory stage of our project. The chosen actor will work with the company for 2.5-3 weeks in rehearsals and perform 2 performances to university students based in Plymouth and 1 to a theatre full of general audience, charity representatives and potential funders. They will join us in delivering a workshop based on educating and raisingawareness for the students. After this, we will enter the planning stages of a regional tour.

When? Where?:
May/June 2022. Various locations in Plymouth

Application Deadline- 5pm, Thursday 21st of April

Audition Date– 10am-3pm, Sunday 24th of April in Plymouth

Poppy’s dissertation performance focused on exploring how ‘Intermediality effects relationships on stage’.
