An autonomous ship named ‘Mayflower’ is launched to mark the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrim fathers. It will sail across the Atlantic next year, without crew, collecting marine research remotely.
Last night our parasol was stolen 🙁
It’s quite distinctive.
Anyone with information, please let us know.
(The base alone weighed 500Kg so it wasn’t easy to steal)
Social distancing, Jasper’s style.
Yes please!

THANKSGIVING DAY 28th NOV - UPDATE - Marching band from Plymouth, Massachusetts will be joining us! 🥁🎺🇺🇸
As part of Thanksgiving on the Barbican 2019 we've linked up with Visit Sutton Harbour who have helped with encouraging businesses around the Harbour to get involved and also kindly arrange a space for us to welcome the Plymouth (USA) High Schools Marching Band on the day with a performance at 11.30am.
The 56-strong band plus colour guard have journeyed from their home in Plymouth, Massachusetts – known as “America’s Hometown” – and will be performing a selection of pieces in Quay Square (near Cap'n Jaspers) and along the harbourside.
The band is a combined ensemble of students from two high schools and two middle schools and regularly take part in competitions and perform at community events.
