- Finishing Operator

We are pleased to announce that we are expanding the capabilities of our large 5-Axis machines with the addition of the Vulcan double-column DX-2220 from Engineering Technology Group.

With a working area of X2200 Y2400 Z1250, this advancement means that we can now offer prismatic machining on a much greater scale!

Following several successful years utilising mill-turn technologies, we have made further investment in a more compact, high-precision multitasking machine: the Nakamura-Tome MX-100.

This will enable us to not only increase site capacity, but also offer our customers a greater level of flexibility due to the comprehensive setup that we have chosen.

At the heart of the cell, we have the mighty MX-100; a Japanese mill-turn with 12k indexable spindle, 76 tools, 24 position lower turret and a part unloading gripper system. To enable us to run completely lights-out, we will be utilising MSV65 servo-driven barfeed to supply the work area with raw material and their Roto-Rack to safely remove finished components.

Another new Mazak VTC-800/30SR delivered and installed to help bolster our large prismatic capacity!

Hymec have always pledged to only invest in the most advanced technologies available to ensure that the service and quality that we provide our customers is second to none.

We are pleased to announce that we have recently taken delivery of another Mazak VARIAXIS i-700 to strengthen our site capabilities and increase production capacity for 2022!

Arriving this week just in time for Christmas, is our multi axis mill turn twin spindle with 124 tools, further increasing our lights out unmanned capacity. This is just another part of our ambitious growth plans for our Plymouth Factory.
