Top Secret Magic

Just back from the Circus! Tonight I had the pleasure of being a guest of "Mister David", the Ringmaster at "Gravity Circus" currently here in plymouth. It's an Italian circus (first time here in the UK) and not a clown in sight! As you can guess from its title, several arial acts, jugglers and yes even an illusion act. David the ringmaster is amongst other things (Juggler, accrobat and all round entertainer who keeps the show going) a magician. (he does a very nice and funny misers dream routine with a boy from the audience). His children are also in the show and are incredible Jugglers and acrobats.
The whole cast is outstandingly talented.
In several places there is even fountains of water as part of the show. Not your ordinary chow.
In all an outstanding show, and you won't be dissapointed.

Well... There was one thing that did dissapoint me. The audience. Very rude of you to start running out as they did the closing of the show. I get that you want to get out before everyone else. Just like in the movies as soon as the credits roll - out you go. And what happens? You miss something hidden in the credits. As you did tonight. Unusually the whole cast make their way out (Supposedly) in front of the crowds,to be there at the exit to say goodbye in person. So if you rushed out you missed that final touch to an excellent show. And very rude of you!

It's very rare to find anything magical in a charity shop but it does happen.
This for example... They of course had no idea what it was... To be honest I probably wouldn't have either if I didn't already have one!

Local friends... WANTED! Anybody got or know of anyone whos has and wants to get rid of, a display torso mannequin or tailors dummy. Needed for the Straitjacket to go back on display!

The Mummy!
Now here's an oddity. You may remember this from a few months ago where I tried to find the maker of this particular version.
Now usually this masterpiece is made in a dark wood by master craftsmen. But this one is beautifully made and decorated in blue and gold. A stunning piece. It comes with instructions from Inzanly Hennly = but = This is not the usual model sold by them. The only suggestion I got was it may be from "Archi Ologist" who specialised in egyptian magic. But I cannot find out anything about him?
I did however come across another Egyptain style prop that was in design very similar to this (different trick). but unfortunatley that didn't help. as they didn't know the manufacturer either!
So if you can help drop me a line...

Last nights meeting meeting of the plymouth society for the preservation of appathy was a complete succes. No one turned up!

However the Plymouth magic circle... Was also a great success. Best night the club has had in years!!!!

Here I sit in the heart of Plymouths tourist centre "The Barbican". It is once again apocalyptically quiet! The tumbleweeds once again deeming to fleetingly grace our streets as they blow unhindered upon their journey.
Meanwhile the worlds smallest magic and joke shop awaits its next customer.
Within these walls sits many drawers of unseen goodies many of which I have even forgotten are there, for quite simply the few magicians that pass across the threshold don't realise they are there let alone even ask to see them. Many perhaps don't have enough time to spend delving into the treasure trove of wonders that create this truly magical emporium.

Well today I found this.., Lady bug by Hugo Valenzela. (not the trick by Paul Harris) In the trick - See below, a Lady Bird helps you to find a playing card. Really cute.
Its as new, but the packaging has suffered a bit of trauma.
