Adding some vibrancy to some old PMU lips which are heavy in Titanium Dioxide 🙌🏻❤️

For those that don’t know, TD is the white colour in pigments that can make the lips look chalky over time.

My client liked her shape, so we didn’t need to remap much, I just went over the existing colour with some brighter pink/red tone. It looks bold at first, but will soften upon healing.

Excited to see how these turn out 🙌🏻❤️

It’s no secret that machine hairstrokes/nano brows (whatever you want to call them 😂) are probably the most challenging area of PMU to master!

It requires a lot of patience, precision and practise.

A lot of the time, we get students who struggle nailing the right technique in order for hairstrokes to look realistic and to retain in the skin.
With some skin types it’s trial and error at the first session! But you must have some fundamental knowledge in pigments and technique to troubleshoot the skin type you’re working on, and adapt accordingly. Whether that be at the first session, or at the follow up.
We don’t condemn organic/inorganic pigments. We use both, because both have their place depending on the individual, in our opinion.

We often see students struggling to retain pigment with inorganics like .mybrows and it’s simply because they’re not saturating enough.
By saturation, we don’t mean going deeper in the skin, or by making the strokes thicker. But we mean by packing in colour in the heart of the stroke whilst still keeping the fronts and ends of the strokes tapered.
To get your saturation, you need the right needle angle, the right speed, and constant contact with the skin. You will not get the level of saturation that’s needed by rushing through the stroke, reinforcing many times and failing to hit the stroke “dead on”. Instead, you’ll end up with a superficial skin graze which is a thicker but unsubstantial stroke, inconsistent depth, and skin trauma.

Me and have collectively trialed and tested (and failed!) many techniques, but we have one that works for us (with the odd differences), that we swear by.

We are hosting our small group 2 day Machine Hairstroke Masterclasses this summer for already qualified technicians, and have limited places left. We will be covering all things technique, pigment theory, patterns etc…

This lovely lady had slight traces of previous PMU after laser and had some texture to her skin from old microblading cuts. It’s always a challenge working with skin that isn’t virgin, especially when creating a hairstroke brow.
