Works completed for a friend of the family to assist with the sale of house. Surveyors report stated that damp proof course had failed which was not the case but was due to rising damp coming up through concrete hearth of old chimney and debris in cavity. Base removed from chimney and cavities cleared. Sleeper wall reinstated with new wall plates and joists. Chemical dpc used as a precautionary measure and damp proof membrane used to allow immediate dry-lining and decorating to take place and to inhibit salts passing through into decorative surface.

Whilst we were at it we decided to smarten up kitchen by removing the old then installing a recycled kitchen that we had removed from another job which was in a much better condition then existing. Rewired electrics which included finding and fixing of many faults (standard practice nowadays 🙄), plastered all walls then decorated, floor levelled then installed LVT flooring.

Pleased to say that plenty of viewings took place during works with an increased offer placed on day of us completing works. 👌🏼

• Electrics were not wired correctly and there was a broken earth somewhere in circuit so required a partial re-wire. Customer also advised at survey that they could only use one appliance on washing machine side at a time as the fuse would blow 🙄.
• Floor had to be completely replaced due to unsuitable chipboard material previously laid which had raised on all the joints and sagging between each joist (no sign of a leak) 😮‍💨.
• Plastering had been completed after the previous kitchen was installed, even around the cornice lol so I’ve got to give credit to the poor guy that was challenged with this as you wouldn’t have known this had been done until kitchen was removed 👏🏼

Experienced Kitchen fitter required to join an expanding installation team. Must have extensive knowledge with all aspects of kitchen fitting and have their own tools and vehicle. Multi-trade desirable but not a necessity. Full time work will be offered to the right candidate on a self employed basis. Will be working in occupied properties so must be tidy and courteous.
