Customer called, saying fuel was coming out of the air intake, we took the carb off, took apart, cleaned, replaced the gaskets and a faulty float needle, reassembled onto this very tidy Mercury ocean rider 340, run and tested, all ready for the new season.

A customer told us of fuel in the bilges when the tank was brimmed. This subsequently led to an inspection of all fittings into or onto the inbuilt tank. We found this under an inspection hatch. An old sender cut out that had previously been blanked with an aluminum cap on a stainless tank. The marine environment and the fact they are dissimilar metals took its toll over many years, leading to the blank corroding and causing a leak. Busy day today, This morning we did a service on this Boston whaler outrage 20 with a Honda BF200 on the back. The owner reported no water put the tell tail and an overheat alarm. Full service with new impeller and thermostats and she’s running sweet again.
This afternoon we went out to the moorings to replace a customers propeller after reports of a bad vibration under load. New prop fitted and sea trial completed, back to full strength once more!
