Pleasure to have the lovely in clinic.

She had recently dissolved her bottom lip as a ledge had developed inside her lower lip over time which was affecting her speech. This is just one of those things that can happen over time with filler and essentially, the plan will be to dissolve and refill.

Jen dissolved and then we have refilled 4 weeks later which has given enough time for any ‘pockets’ of tissue (created by the filler over time) to heal to avoid any lumpiness or distortion of the lip.

Together a beautiful bottom lip was born!

Although this treatment is not showing the complete results, it’s important to share how the process works.

This patients’ goal is to improve tired looking eyes which have developed over time and part of the natural aging process.

Through consultation we developed a plan to treat the volume loss occurring in the tear trough area.

This treatment can be expected to be a two part process to develop results over time as over filling this area can create unwanted puffiness making the area look worse.

So far, we can see an improvement in the dark circles under this patients’ eyes and a reduction in fine lines. A second treatment in 4 weeks time will allow us to assess the initial result and rejuvenate the skin further.

Maintenance treatments can then be expected around yearly.

There’s no denying this treatment brings back youth to the lip area. Doesn’t it suit her perfectly?! She left with her Teoxane 3D Lip care to continue plumping , nourishing and hydrating at home.

There’s a fear about having this treatment that it might be obvious you’ve had something done or you’re trying to look younger than you are.

This result is perfect proof that you can have a treatment and it can look completely natural. If there was one important outcome for this patient, it was to upturn the sides of the mouth to improve the downturned smile that causes a ‘sad’ appearance. We did that whilst improving symmetry and height across the top lip.

Every lip is different naturally and our intentions are to keep it that way.

Smaller, thinner and first timers will often need several treatments to build up to their goal. This process can’t be rushed as we risk the filler migrating to unwanted areas if filled quickly in one session.

My skin is in no way perfect now but it’s a whole lot better from where it was. It’s a long journey for me and it’s getting better with knowledge.

For years I used baby wipes to clean my face and thought nothing of it. The reality is, they still leave loads behind and the chemicals can be dehydrating to the skin.

Washing your face first runs the risk of clogged pores as it’s near on impossible to avoid the hair product leftovers running down your face.

I used to think that skincare products were the cause of my skin problems. I was worried they were making me oily and break out in spots but actually the lack of routine was affecting my skin barrier and I had severely dehydrated skin.

Making these changes alone has made a huge difference.

A lady working in the supermarket asked me if it was still hot outside today. She thought I was sunburnt… when I was actually just fresh out of the microneedling treatment.

I used to try and plan the best time for this treatment, but now I just go out and own the redness 😆 This will calm by tomorrow and then a light peeling can be expected to make way for fresh skin.

This is a favourite treatment of mine. Once this has settled there will be an awesome skin glow courtesy of the NCTF product used as a glide and pores will be further reduced. It’s made such a difference to my pores over the last few treatments.

This is an underrated skin treatment and is perfect for complete skin rejuvenation!

It’s possible I was more excited than the patient about this Milia removal treatment this week. There were stream around the eye area and now they have vanished! She can now apply a less bumpy eyeliner 😃 Ultimate joy for all!

What are they: Milia are small, white bumps that commonly appear on the skin, particularly on the face. They are actually keratin-filled cysts that form just beneath the skin’s surface. They look like little white pearls when they are removed!

Causes: Milia can be caused by a variety of factors, including dead skin cells becoming trapped in the skin, using heavy or pore-clogging skincare products, sun damage, and even genetic predisposition.

Treatment: We can safely extract them using specialized tools and techniques to avoid scarring.

The chin and jawline has been treated here to create the illusion of a more defined jaw line and heart shaped face.

Dermal filler has been used in several points along the chin to project and shape. We have then treated the pre jowl sulcus (between the chin and slight jowl) and towards the angle of the jaw to create a seamless transition across the jawline.

For others, this treatment is perfect for disguising the dreaded jowls and is a great alternative option to more invasive procedures.

So pleased with these results!

If it’s not meant to be there, we can usually fix it.

This indentation that is occurring medial to the midface has become bothersome over time and the request was to get rid. It’s actually the second one I’ve seen and treated in the same week so it’s more common than we think.

This treatment took a lot of facial expression testing and patience using a cannula to carefully place dermal filler at the correct depth.

The result is a softening of the indent which is causing less shadowing on the face.

We were both pretty pleased with this one.
