Videos by Cutting Clay in Poole. Finely engineered and affordable cutters for use in precious metal clay.
Hi Lovely People,
I'm excited to be bringing you a new cutter family and in the spirit of my boundless imagination, I'll be calling them Longy Longs.🥸
These are..erm... longer than usual so I've developed the sizes of 60, 50, 40 & 30 mm long from tip to tip.
To give you an idea of clay usage, the 60 mm can be cut by rolling out ~7 g of clay (not all will be used though).
These of course will come in their own part marked box with the same box dimensions as the Big Beefy range.😀

Teeny boxes on their way!
The new machine is powering through some lids and growing it's appetite. What a beast this is; finer resolution, faster speeds, bigger capacity, better quality.💪
I'll be looking to open up shop in mid-September, can't wait.🥳
Not long to go but much to do.😁
Hello all, you may think i've been absent for a while and whilst this is true on releasing new products, I have been busy on an exciting project in the background. Rising energy costs has no doubt affected us all and i'm no exception. In order to offset these costs without defaulting to increasing my product prices, i've been implementing an open source machine from http://recreator3d.com/ which is allowing me to recycle my plastic bottles back into filament which I can in turn make products from.🥰 Currently I'm only putting this into my boxes to test the waters so if you receive any boxes with a translucent look then you can be assured that you're lucky to be helping me keep my costs low whilst also helping reduce my plastic waste.🔄 Next step is to harness some renewable energy to run this machine on.🌞💨 Enjoy the video of this process.😎 Thank you for your continued custom, support and feedback. Together, we make my products better, for you and the environment.🫶 .....new releases will be returning....
What a crazy couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone for bearing with me lately, the remainder of the orders from the last few weeks will be shipping out Monday.🥵 Demand for the earring stands has been insane, I hope they serve you well and I'd love to see some photos of your lovely work on them.😎 Proud to serve you all and extremely grateful for your custom. 🙏
Hello all, would you like to see a wee clip behind the scenes where the magic happens? The vid starts at the design hub and machine loading station, panning round to my main two filament printers is where the boxes and mandrel frames get made. We then move on to the red twins, these are the workhorses for the cutters, mandrel bits and holders... and now the earring stands. Stuck on at the end is baby yellow, the little prototyping machine (also good for teeny boxes) . We then pan around to the triple wash stage when all the parts from the twins go through to get nice and clean. Lastly is the cure cube where those UV rays give a final bake to the parts. What you don't see here are Quality checking and packaging, that takes place elsewhere along with a spraying of acrylic clear coat to seal the resin. So, when you buy your next set of cutters, you can have an idea of the steps and controls your order will flow through before they get dropped through your letterbox . 😘
Back from my holibags and hitting the ground running. Making up some display stands for my lovely wife's wares for an upcoming craft show. I'll be back on the shape machine soon folks. 👍
A short clip of the Teeny Tiny magnetic latched boxes in action (boxes free as standard with all my cutter sets). Reclaim your workbench and put an end to cutter clutter. 😉
The tight lids have been bugging me Miss Wizz Jewellery so I'm on a quest to fix it. I think I have a solution in the form of a couple of small magnets. These provide a nice snap fit and easy release. What's everyone's thoughts? 👍 or 👎 I removed the need for some resin in the middle to offset the magnet cost. The magic number remains unchanged. 😂
