When he’s not working, he enjoys a round of golf and walking in the countryside with his wife.

Happy Monday morning and today we introduce you to our Finance Manager, Toni Cook.

Toni is Mark Cook’s sister and is responsible for all the inhouse accounting, P&L and invoicing. She started in the business at the outset and celebrated 10 years with us in April this year. Toni holds both managerial and accounting qualifications.

Her life before MC was much quieter, working as a manager at a convenience store, and keeping busy raising 5 young children!

After bringing up her young family, she now likes to relax a little more and outside of work she’s keen to keep her tan topped up by travelling to exotic and faraway places – can you blame her?!

When she’s not working (and not away) she enjoys live music, playing pool, spending time with her children and 9 grand-children, generally socialising and bike riding.

This morning we introduce you to Chloe Angwin, Building Control Surveyor categorised 2A.

She joined MC Plan and Site Services in 2022 and holds an HNC in Construction Management and an MSc in Building Surveying.

Chloe covers the whole of the Poole conurbation.

When Chloe isn’t visiting sites, you’ll find her cruising on her motorbike or enjoying a bit of cocktail making.

Happy Monday morning! Today, we're delighted to introduce you to Tony Penn, a Registered Building Control Surveyor with BSR categories: 2a, 2b and 2d.

Tony joined the MC team back in October 2021 and is responsible for covering the areas of Christchurch, Bournemouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Our very own Bear Grylls, at weekends you may find Tony wild camping, when he’s not
exploring the world on exotic holidays.

Today we're introducing you to our Business Support Team Leader.

Sarah Nippard manages the Business Support Team and ensures everything runs smoothly, from application to issue of the final Building Control certificate. She is currently studying her CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources and Management.

She was previously a manager and UK and International Operative Trainer before she joined the MC team in November 2019.

With her love of the fine arts, you can often find Sarah in London at the theatre or attending music events.

A keen paddleboarder and avid reader, she always brings spooky treats into the office on her birthday as it coincides with Halloween. 👻🎃

Due to popular demand we are running our CPD event on the hot topic of Active Fire Curtains, on two different dates.

Training is provided by David Keeble at , on both 14th August and 12th November.

Here's Darren Crocker, our Technical Training Manager and Senior Building Control Surveyor, categorised up to 3H.

Darren has over 35 years experience in the industry, with nearly 20 years specifically within Building Control, and seven years with MC Plan & Site Services.

He holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Construction Management and covers the Wimborne and Bournemouth areas.

Outside of work, Darren is currently renovating his home, and enjoys spending time with his large family. He’s also a keen sportsman; loves running with his pet dogs and can be found on the terraces at West Ham United where he’s a season ticket holder. He’s also partial to a round of golf here and there.

Meet Tom Redmond, Building Control Inspector.

Tom has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry; he holds an HNC in Construction Management and an NVQ in Carpentry. His BSR rating is up to 2a and he currently covers North & West Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Salisbury areas.

Out of the office he’s a member of the British team and a keen competitor in wood chopping. Away from the chainsaw, he enjoys time out working his dogs.

Charlie joined MC Plan & Site Services in 2019, working as an administrator in the Business Support team.

With an eye for technical information, she completed her NVQ Level 3 Diploma in .

Away from the office, when she’s not managing applications, you can find her getting away from it all in her T5 , usually with a cider in hand.

Let's introduce you to our Managing Director, Mark Cook, who started his career in the construction industry when he was a mere 16 year old. After a period in the army with The Royal Engineers, he worked for the local authority before establishing MC Plan and Site Services in 2013. With over 27 years experience in Building Control, he has become widely respected for his profound knowledge and sensitive approach to troubleshooting and how best to resolve any issues before they arise. Why would you use anyone else?

Outside of work, Mark is big on his home and family life.

What you may not know is that he also loves all things Italy and is currently learning the lingo. He heads over there as often as he can and, never one to relax, his current project is the creation of a vineyard as he's keen to try his hand at wine making.

You might hear Mark before you see him on site as he’s a keen motorcyclist.

Jack studied for his Architectural Design and Technology degree at Solent University, graduating with First Class Honours, before going on to complete his Masters in the same subject in 2021.

Previously working for a home builder as a junior project manager, he joined us in September 2022 as a trainee Building Inspector. Showing diligence and a natural aptitude to the role, Jack has now been promoted to Registered Building Control Inspector to category 2a.

We’re delighted to welcome Stacey back after her maternity leave, in her new role as Business Development Associate.

Stacey joined the company back in November 2017, originally as a credit controller.

On returning to work recently after having her baby, she is now working alongside our Business Development Manager in her new role to help develop and find new business, as we broaden our geographical reach.

As well as running after her kids, Stacey is a keen runner in her own time. Weekends are spent walking, spending time with family and friends - sometimes with a glass of Merlot or Prosecco in hand!

We're super excited to announce the arrival of Stuart Heathman to the MC team, as a Senior Building Control Surveyor.

He brings with him bags of expertise, having previously worked within the Borough of Poole/BCP Building Control department.

Stuart is a Chartered Building Engineer with 40 years experience working in Building Control across both the Public and Private Sectors. He has experience of all types of building projects across Dorset and Hampshire and has dealt with major projects, including Poole Hospital and University Hospital Dorset NHS Foundation Trust sites as well as at Bournemouth University Campus, to name just a few.

Stuart joins us to deal with all aspects of Building Control across the Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch area.

In his spare time, Stuart likes to participate in extreme sports and he is an avid AFC Bournemouth supporter. Up the Cherries!

We'd like to introduce you to Business Development Manager, Natasha Russell, who joined the company back in October 2022.

Natasha studied her degree in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at the University of the West of England, graduating in 2013.

She gained great insight into the construction industry, previously working as a marketing executive for a retirement home builder and a lifting equipment design and manufacturing company.

She is currently busy focusing on developing the business in new geographical areas.

Outside of work, Natasha loves spending time with family and friends. A fun fact, Natasha is the only English member of her whole family, the rest reside in Bonnie Scotland where she travels to regularly.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Building Control Inspector to join our team.

As the first organisation to register with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as a in the UK when regulations changed in 2024, MC Plan & Site Services have been evidencing their forward thinking, innovative, and industry leading principles since their inception in 2013.

We have experienced a planned period of growth in , specifically the PL postcode areas, so are looking for a full time consultant to fulfill our ongoing requirements in the region. The successful candidate will join an experienced team of existing Inspectors across the United Kingdom.

You will be required to independently manage an allocated geographical area, the mixed tenure of applications within said area, and be the go-to for your regional clients. You will carry out site inspections ensuring that all correspondence and site information is documented while focusing on client relationships. Strong IT capabilities are essential.

This role will be most suited to a candidate currently working in a Building Control capacity, registered with the 2A to 2D

Ideally, you will also be a member of CABE / CIOB / RICS.

Furthermore, competency with English language, both written and verbal is essential in order to disseminate British governance and regulations.

Interviews will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will be a competency-based interview with Human Resources, the second with a Company Director together with either our Building Control Manager or one of our Senior RBIs
