Another day another tyre issue, this one from Stuart on the A35 Upton by pass, Not much left of it though

Rhys went to a roadside breakdown to find the culprit was a V**E, straight into the sidewall/shoulder area so tyre completely stuffed, However Rhys said there was a lovely smell of strawberry

A wet, wet Bank Holiday Monday. A bad time to clip a wooden fence and pierce drivers side rear tyre. RAC? No sir, you've been in an accident and will have to pay all the way. Second call Freeway. Answered promptly and helpfully. No we haven't got the right size but we can lend you something that will get you home and come with the correct tyre tomorrow.
45 minutes later Freeway were there. No fuss, no bother and I'm back on the road for, I might add, a very reasonable cost.
Tuesday 9.30 am, Freeway call. The correct replacement has come overnight, can we come and fit? By 10.30 I'm totally sorted.
Thank you Freeway. An efficiency and courtesy that I thought was long gone in the UK. Your people were kind and helpful throughout. Your service top-drawer. You are (in the parlance of Apollo 13) the steely-eyed missile men of the tyre world. I thank you Simon G-M

We will do whatever we can to help get stranded customers mobile again and we often loan tyres to allow them to get there car back home whilst we order a tyre for the car which we fit next day when we will retrieve our loaned tyre back

3 call outs for blown tyres all preventable with a bit of basic tyre checking anytime in the last few months. Luckily no one hurt or damage to vehicles but could been much worse

Alex is replaced in the depot by new lad Callum who has been learning the ropes from Alex and the outside fitters. We also have 2 new outside fitters getting on the road in the next few weeks which will boost the number of mobile vans to 7
