This year, we will be running our first ever Client Interviewing Competition. The competition will take place in December with the winning team representing Bournemouth University in the National Client Interviewing Competition next semester.
The competition is open to LLB, GDL and LPC students. If you’re interested in competing in the competition, you can either message us or email Jamie Fletcher.

The PBA is pleased to launch its Essay Competition 2022 designed to recognise academic achievement and help to identify future property barristers and encourage an interest in property law.
The competition is open to all law undergraduates, LLM, GDL and BPTC students.
1st prize – £1000, a copy of Megarry and Wade: The Law of Real Property and your essay published in EG.
2nd prize - £500 and a copy of Megarry and Wade: The Law of Real Property
3rd prize - £250 and a copy of Megarry and Wade: The Law of Real Property.
The prizes will be presented at a reception in the Old Hall, Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn on 28 April 2022.
The 2022 Essay Question will be available here from 1 November 2021.
Essays must be submitted by 6pm on 7 January 2022.
Entrants are invited to submit an entry of not more than 1,000 words. Entries should be in word format, text 12 point, 1.5 spaced and sent to [email protected].

✨PUPILLAGE FAIR 2021✨
The fair will be divided into the following areas:
Exhibition halls – speak to various chambers, employed Bar organisations, regional representatives, diversity-focused organisations and more to find out what opportunities they have on offer.
Auditorium – attend various sessions focused on different practice areas, funding and scholarship, and various areas of interest for specific groups.
Application Clinic – spend 15 minutes with a practising barrister to discuss your legal CV, pupillage application, or interview technique.
On 3rd November 2021, Woman at the Chancery Bar are hosting a careers event.
This event will give an insight to life at the Chancery Bar and will be aimed at students, featuring a line up of female practitioners giving short talks on areas of practice at the Chancery Bar, as well as issues such as flexible working, juggling motherhood and obtaining pupillage.
The event will be followed by a Q&A sessions for students to ask any questions.

Make sure to sign up for BIUCAC! It is a great way of increasing your commercial awareness and it looks great on the CV. You all have a chance of securing a vacation scheme or training contract with City and commercial law firms.
