Poole Grammar School
A high achieving 11-18 boys secondary school where all students are supported to succeed.
The Poole Grammar School robotics team was thrilled to receive an invitation from Parvalux Electric Motors their sponsor, to showcase robotics at the Bournemouth Air Festival.
For three days, a group of educators and students inspired the upcoming generation of STEM enthusiasts. Both the competition game field and the robot, build by the students to compete in the First Tech Challenge UK, were on display. PGS Robotics would like to express their gratitude to Parvalux for providing them with the opportunity to participate as well as all the help and support they provide.
Over the weekend we exhibited the Bournemouth Air Festival in the STEM Village. On our stand, we had activities for visitors to get involved with, and this helped to engage a lot of young minds, spark their curiosity, get them thinking about STEM, and inspire the future generation of engineers.
Around 27,000 people visited the STEM Village, and a lot of them were already interested in STEM, so we could further their interest with our STEM motor kits and interactive robotics demonstrations from Poole Grammar School.
It was an absolute pleasure to present Parvalux to the public and talk about what we do.
We're looking forward to welcoming students back this week and embarking on this new, exciting academic year together!
We have been advised that there have been some changes to the 450 bus timetable (Wallisdown & Alder Rd to Poole Grammar School). See below for the updated timetable for September 2024.

Huge congratulations to Year 7 students, Sam and Alex, who were winners in our recent Science Fair, with their pinhole camera design.
Students had six weeks to come up with, and test, a hypothesis ready to present their ideas to the rest of the school.
Sam, Alex - and runners-up, Fraser and Sawyer - will all receive a Dominos pizza lunch delivered to school on Wednesday.
Ms Butler, who organised the fair, said: โThe students involved should all be very proud of themselves โ the way that all of them were able to talk about their research was very impressive, and made judging a difficult task.โ
Due to a certain football match taking place on Wednesday evening, we have made the decision to bring our Summer Music Concert forward to 6.00pm on Wednesday. This should give guests time to enjoy our musicians AND watch England v Netherlands (โฝ๐ค).
