Update on summer holidays lessons slots available

Tuesday 6th August:
4.30 to 5pm

Tuesday 13th August:
4.30 to 5pm - 5 to 5.30pm
5.30 to 6pm - 6 to 6.30pm

Tuesday 20th August:
3.30 to 4pm - 4 to 4.30pm
4.30 to 5pm - 5 to 5.30pm
5.30 to 6 - 6 to 6.30pm

Cost for lessons are as follows:

Private lessons @£40 for half hour or £60 for one full hour

Mixed ability classes @£10 per half hour class ( X4 swimmers will be required to run the class)

Autumn term payment are due today 11th July to confirm class places for September and all prepaid awards will be handed out next week on poolside, please ask me.

Everyone should have received invoices for autumn term along with awards that swimmers have achieved this term.
If not please contact me as soon as possible.

Payment date to reserve these pre reserved class spaces is the 11th July.
After this date non reserved spaces will be offered to others on my waiting list.

Awards will be handed out after payment as been received during the last two weeks of this present term.

Everyone should have received a message for all users to wear footwear from the car to the house and remove footwear before entering the pool area .

Some children have been walking from the car in dare feet and then coming into the pool transferring the dirt into the poolside and pool.

No shoes unless these are pool shoes used solely for this use only .

Keeping a clean and safe environment is beneficial for everyone and I appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

Warm weather is maybe finally here so if you wish to sit outside please do so I can always get your attention if you are needed.

Lots of hard work from my swimmers and good progress gained, well done everyone!

Two weeks off for Easter break, so let hope the weather improves.

Beginning Tuesday 16th .

Just to let everyone know while work is undertaken at Avon house please assess the pool house via the side of the property near the grey van on driveway.

Allow extra time to park and bring a light to guide you down the side of the property.

Work is accepted to be completed within a week but of course this isn't set in stone I would like to thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Hope everyone had a Fabulous Christmas and I like to wish you all a happy and healthy 2024.

We return to lessons Tuesday 2nd January for our Spring term.

This week the drive way may be unavailable due to work being undertaken at the house so please allow more time to park off road if you can't get on the driveway.
When parking in the road please could I ask not to block other residents driveways when parking for your lessons .
It's only for a short time so please bear with me.

Wearing rash rests in the water to keep little shoulders warm and some nice warm loose clothing to change into after lessons will be in order during winter period.

We have had a good autumn term and all the swimmers have made good progress and have worked hard to achieve their awards.

The end of autumn term is approaching with speed.
All the swimmers have worked hard and their awards gained will appear on the new spring term invoice which everyone should have received, if not please contact me asap.
All pre paid awards will be ready to be handed out from this week onwards.

As the weather is getting colder I would recommend that those swimmers who feel the cold may wish to wear a rash vest or wetsuits, the pool water is kept at 30 degrees but the air temp can be a little cooler.
Also to bring loose fitting clothing to change into after swim and warm hat to keep warm on way home.

I will give a little extra changing time at end of lesson so we can maintain the time slots for everyone and your co operations will be much appreciated in this area.

I wanted to say how proud I am of Albie Wareham for all his achievements during this summer's British transplant games held in Coventry this summer.

Bronze in the 25m Freestyle
Bronze in the Football
Gold in Tennis
Medals for the donor run and for being part of Kings hospital children's team.

You have had great progress since your transplant and continued to show such strength of character that we all should take onboard in our own daily lives.

I also want to say how strong mum Verity and the whole family has been during what was a very scary time and a hard and long recovery.

But as you can see with brilliant NHS staff and a lovely family miracles can can happen .

Well the summer holidays are coming to an end and we are starting back to lessons Tuesday 5th September for our autumn term.

I wanted to say good bye to Samantha Samways who's leaving to attend college.
I've been teaching her for many years and it was very sad to say goodbye.
Massive thank you to Sandra for the kind gift of a photo of Samantha and I in the pool at Victoria some 18 years ago. Good luck, have a fantastic time.

Wish Albie Mewse Good luck while he's completing in the transplant swimming competition.
I'm so very proud of how while you have done post OPP, enjoy this experience.

Also thank you for the kind cards and gifts it's very kind of you and I'm most grateful.

This Thursday is the first day for my summer holiday lessons . I do have a few sessions left this Thursday and next so please let me know if you require any private lessons.

Hi parents it's that time of the term for re enrolling for the next term .
I've sent out invoices today.
These invoices will contain any awards your child/ children have achieved this term.

Please note that I have been able to keep prices of lessons the same as the owners are aware that times are difficult for lots.
Which is so thoughtful of them so my thanks to Daron and Gemma.

I'm also keeping the installments option at no extra cost to help as it's been helpful for many.

The swimmers have all worked hard and I'm very happy with their progress.
We will continue to work towards their next awards from this week onwards .

I have some summer lessons available and these are on page 4 of your invoices these will be on a 1st come basis so please contact me asap if you are interested so you don't miss out.

Hi everyone
A kind lady texted me last night to say a child's shoe had been found on Avon road.
Please contact me if your child has lost one and is now hopping to school 😉 and I help to reunite you and your shoe.

Hope everyone enjoyed the half term and is ready for the second half of this summer term when we return to lessons today.

We will continue to progress through individual aims and prepare for testing in the following weeks.

I'm so proud of you all you have exceeded my expectations.

Thanks go to Gemma and Daron at Avon house pool for their kindness and support in making aqua ducks first term so welcoming it is a beautiful venue to teach young children to swim and they are thoughtful to the swimmers needs which means so much to myself.

Morning everyone

Just a little advice regarding safety during this weather.

Please take care when arriving at the pool house that has the driveway and decking
Due to the cold weather.

Reminder to wear your rash vests or wet suits or if you haven't got those an old T- shirt will be ok just to keep little shoulders warm when in the pool and nice cosy towel waiting when getting out.

Hats to keep heads warm on the way home will help to keep warm .
