Hengistbury Head plastic fish π
Lovely day to be at Swanage market with π
Another way of using sea glass - frame mirrors. Spot the 'tonic' lettering?
More succulents. I found the ceramic pieces at Baiter, Poole Harbour and the smooth glass pieces at Charmouth.
Found at Old Harry Rocks today, along with just a few bits of plastic. Nice to hardly see any for a change.
More sea glass succulents in progress for the Swanage market 29th July
I love the shells in the Philippines. When I do find shells, I tend to pick up the broken pieces to use for my creations now, ensuring plenty is left in nature, especially whole ones for hermit crabs, etc π
A rare 𧑠find this eve
Some finds at Baiter this eve. Handy to find some more greens ready for Christmas trees π π²π₯΅
Sunset sky inspiration π§‘
Water bomb fish. Found all these at Hengistbury Head beach at the weekend. Must admit I loved playing with these too as a kid but now having awareness of how bad they are for the natural environment, I wonder if there's an alternative π€
Circles in the Sand No. 2
These were found on the beautiful beaches of Bohol, Philippines. Some I kept to be used in future works of art. The rest I tried to find recycle bins for. Little by little we will reduce plastic waste and trash on beaches π΅
Remembering the beautiful tropical sea life of the Philippines. When going in the sea now, I don't wear sunscreen. I didn't wear nail polish either, for fear of that chipping and harming the sea life too. When snorkelling I wore a long sleeved rash vest and leggings. Worked just as well if not better. I'm way more conscious about what I'm going in the sea with, after all it's the marine creatures home so we should all enter with far more respect.
Is it time we starting behaving like animals and cleaned up after ourselves? β»οΈ

'Beach Plastic City'
All found on the beautiful beaches of Bohol, Philippines. Hoping the disposable plastics will soon be banned there, like in other countries. But I can definitely see that culture needs to change also, because if the environment is kept clean in the first place, more people should make efforts to keep it that way. I know that a lot of people do care about their environment here, it's up to the powers that be to actually help and give them the resources to do it!
So many sandles get washed up! Thought of you

Plastic fish of Panglao, Bohol, Philippines
Finally got round to having a go at plein air and what better place than this beautiful beach of Panglao, Bohol, Philippines π
Mushroom!
Shell and coral fish
Now this is what I do love to find on the beach π
I got excited spotting this at our beach thinking it was glass but soon realised it's the usual plastic to be found washed up π
Enjoyed seeing these artworks by Dave Aparisio and Allen Kier Anaviso.
My kind of art! π
Found at Baiter this afternoon. Do you see what I see?
