Good morning to you all. How are you getting on with ideas for Mothers Day? I’ve got ideas for my Mum. I just need to implement them! Why not look at our new design of jewellery below comprising of handmade glass beads set in Sterling Silver. This earrings and pendant set is the only one made, but we will be making more using other colours for the beads over the coming weeks, so if you would like a set let us know the colours you would like! Isn’t it wonderful to see the sunshine coming back, even if it is still chilly. By coincidence the first part of a new commission is based on a Sunrise. A couple of weeks ago we shared the new glass coming into the studio for a pair of commissioned windows and the first part is coming along very nicely. The clients have been in to see the first piece on the design station and were very happy with how it looks, we get the final piece slotted in perfectly and everything is ready for cleaning and moving carefully to the kiln. Firing is completed; it’s time for a peek into the kiln. Very happy with the finish and we can’t wait to see it installed. It now awaits its partner piece. There is more to come so keep a look out for how it’s coming along. It has been an exciting week this week, with a trip out, to hand select the specific glass we need for a new commission of two beautiful windows. We LOVE choosing new glass to use; it’s like being a kids in a sweetie shop for us!! After meeting with the clients to discuss their windows, the designs were drawn, reviewed and approved and we are now ready to begin work … so we need the glass! There will be more pictures and video clips to see in the coming weeks so do keep an eye out for them. Hello December is upon us, Christmas is not far away and the Tree is ready to dress up! It’s a time for fun and laughter and looking forward to family time with the odd present thrown in for good measure! This weekend is another busy one for us and if you are looking for unusual, hand-crafted glass gifts, come and look us up. It is has been a terrific first week of Dorset Art Weeks with some lovely visitors coming out to visit us at our Glass Studio and see our glass designs. We would like to share another fantastic opportunity that has come our way… Ian has been busy delivering three of our Glass Sculptures to RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022. They are being included as part of the ‘Glass Garden’ (Stand AR542) which is celebrating The International Year of Glass. It was a great surprise to see one of the pieces, “Inferno”, included in The Daily Telegraph feature for Chelsea too. We are feeling very proud and excited.
