Some colder and icy weather on the way folks…be sure to keep those oil tanks topped up!
The NI Weather & Flood Advisory Service has issued the following warning.
A Level 1 Warning of Ice has been issued for Northern Ireland.
Warning valid from 03:00 04/02/2022 Until 10:00 04/02/2022
Colder air is expected to move in from the North West tonight and tomorrow. Showers will develop and push in from the West across many parts, these will turn increasingly wintry with some sleet, hail & hill snow possible.
Temperatures will drop to freezing or below for many areas and with surfaces wet from showers there is a risk of Ice & Frost developing overnight and into tomorrow morning.
There is a risk of some small accumulations of Snow over the hills which may lead to difficult driving conditions.
Road users are advised to exercise caution when travelling, particularly when driving on untreated roads.
