Something new.
The first 90 ends of a 392 end warp… this could take a while 💗
Pastel rainbow 🌈 I’m in love 💗
The dawn of a new era… pastel rainbow checks on the loom at last 🌈
I hope you had a good weekend. X
The sun is shining and there is finally a warp going on my loom.
Happy days 🥰
She only went and did it!
Thank you for my brilliant transformation.
Eek! 🎉
It’s over 💗
Not only have I been discharged from oncology 🎉I’ve also had my last dose of chemotherapy today.
It’s time to move on and rebuild my life. It’s going to take a while to get back to where I was but boy does it feel good to not be a cancer patient anymore. You’ve all been amazing, I can’t ever thank you enough for all your support!
I thought such a momentous day needed to be forever on my page.
This bottle of Prosecco is going down tonight (after my haircut 🙌) 🥂x
Happy new week everyone.
I hope you all had a good weekend, I managed to get outside in the sunshine and clean out a corner of my sun trap yard. I’ll post photos in my stories. I need to replant a few things and sort it where to put everything now. It’s horrible today so that can wait.
I’m also wearing my tee shirt for the first time since the day I was diagnosed. What a whirlwind it’s been! This week I start my final round of chemotherapy. 1st June will be the day I restart my life (first day off chemo) 🎉💗. I know the side effects will still be with me for longer than that… but I can’t wait to get through it all now.
I hope you like my blue patterned scarf it’s still available in my Etsy shop, link in my profile x
From now on I’m going to live life in full colour!
This’ll make you laugh… today marks six weeks since surgery , so to celebrate this milestone (as driving is still out of the question because of neuropathy) I climbed onto a dining room chair and grinned at Cookie. Obvs she phoned 111 and an asked for a straight jacket and padded van 🤣 but boy did it feel good to not be “careful”.
Okay having said that I will continue to look after myself and not take unnecessary risks. Also half way through this PENULTIMATE round of chemotherapy today 🎉🎉
Life is good, have a lovely long weekend! If you want to make me any happier please buy a scarf, if that’s not possible have a chuckle every time you think of me standing on a chair 😂 x
Wishes do come true!
Not the ones about me winning the lottery obviously 🙄 but the ones where I want my treatment to be over, as soon as possible… guess who had a call from the chemo department yesterday saying that a slot has become available TOMORROW. 🎉 I’m so grateful that my summer/life after cancer plans are back on track. I’m not looking forward to feeling awful for the next 6-8 weeks but after that life begins again 🥰
Thank you for being here with me, it’s been one hell of a ride x
Happy new week friends! I must admit I’m finding it difficult to keep a grasp on the days of the week at the moment.
It amazing to think that this time last month I was having my op! Thank goodness that’s behind me and my convalescence is well underway. Only another two long week to go before I can drive again.
For all you lovely new followers this photo is of my best selling rainbow scarf and the second photo is of me wearing mine a few years ago. Isn’t it amazing how you go from twists of yarn to cloth x
One day soon I’ll dip into this Pandora’s box of goodies!
Have a lovely weekend 🥂x
Morning All!
Today I’m feeling a little blue. 💙
I had a temporary setback yesterday. I know it’s all good and the cancer is gone but I was expecting to restart chemo within the next week but it’s been delayed a month. I can’t help but feel upset that all my plans to move forward from June have to be shelved until July. I realise it’s only a month and I’m SOOOOO fortunate that my treatment has worked with such a wonderful outcome, but I’m still feeling blue about the delay.
Anyway enough about my selfishness, what are you up to on this fine day? x
Spring fresh gingham style lambswool wraps!
Yesterday I met with my oncologist and was formally told that they got all my cancer during surgery, it was stage 3 but to the best of their belief it hadn’t spread beyond my lymph nodes 🎉 I still have 6 weeks of chemo to go through. But what a result! For now I’m continuing to recover from surgery before they restart chemo. I can’t wait to get my life back now 🙌 x
It’s that in between time of year when a wrap is invaluable. Perfect for windy walks and for keeping warm at home.
I use mine to keep my shoulders and arms warm and also as a leg cover when I’m sat relaxing.
This one and lots of others are available in my Etsy shop right now x
Happy Easter xx
Happy Mothering Sunday to all you mums out there.
I would be nothing without this lot. They are my world 💗
Morning all!
Just thought I’d pop on to confirm I’m still here. The last couple of months have been tough, but I’m over the first two rounds of chemo now and now waiting for surgery in two weeks time 🙌. I’ve been feeling incredibly tired all the time so not much progress is happening on any project. I can’t wait for that to change but I think it might not happen until the post op chemo is finished.
Until that happens please pop over to my Etsy shop HandwovenByJac and show some love ❤️ I will keep the shop open until the 21st then it’ll have to shut while I’m recovering.
Stay strong everyone x
It’s all green (and pink) here today.
Etsy keep telling me my green scarves are unloved, I’m sure that’s not true I love them all.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, I’m off to have my pre-chemo blood test today to make sure I’m fit enough for treatment on Monday 🤞x
How can it be Thursday already?
So much to do and so little time. I’m having one of those weeks, nothing is going to plan, except getting the three new scarves added to my shop 🙌. But as with anything there has to be balance, my washing machine died on me yesterday. On the plus side I have a new warp all measured out and ready to go on my loom… now to find the energy 😉
Hope you’re having a positive day x
Same warp but different weft… and back into my comfort zone 💗
Hello new week!
This morning I finished my first round of chemo 🙌 I’ve celebrated by finally getting around to pressing these three beauties. Hopefully the light will improve enough for me to take some product photos before they get added to my Etsy shop.
I’m looking forward to a productive week, trying to fit three weeks of my “proper job” into the next five days (round two starts on the 12th) plus setting up my loom for when I’m next able to weave. So many ideas after such a long time of inactivity 💗
What are your plans for the week? x
Drips!
Sorry not managed to press the handwashing from last week. But doesn’t this photo look fab?
My shop remains open for now, I’m having help with posting, I just can’t get things to the post office as quickly as normal. Please bear with me 💗
I’ve just had a very welcome Order for the last blue scarf in this set 🥰💗
Green and grey variations are still available.
Feeling good today, but my fingers and toes have been affected so no crafting this week. Luckily I have a helper to get post out 🥰
💪
Yay for the weekend!
Just a little bit sad to see this scarf fly the coop today. I wish I was heading to America with it instead of heading to hospital.
I will keep my shop open and see how I feel once the chemo starts on Monday. If I’m too sick I’ll have to put it in “holiday” mode for a few months.
If there’s anything you’re thinking of buying this weekend might be the best time x
Are you going green this year?
I can’t tell you how much I love this colour 💚 but if green isn’t your thing there are lots of other colours in my Etsy shop!
Cancer update….
Tomorrow I have a meeting with my oncologist and my surgeon to decide whether taking part in a research program and getting chemo first is the best option for me. I’m 99% decided that if my tests come back compatible then this is the route I’ll be taking. But it’s such a difficult choice.
I’ll keep you updated and will keep my shop open as long as I can. Hopefully it won’t have to be closed for long, but I’ve no idea how 6 weeks of chemo will make me feel. X
