This week, I had the pleasure of working with the HMS Prince Of Wales Field Gun Crew.

It was a great experience spending time with the crew and helping them get in peak physical condition for their comp yesterday. ๐Ÿ†

Throughout the week, I offered a deep tissue massage drop in service to the team where anyone could come see me if they were suffering from tightness, pain or ongoing injuries. ๐Ÿฉผ

Iโ€™m very happy that I made a difference and that everyone felt so much better after! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

And big thanks to Jonty for hooking me up with the opportunity. Hopefully Iโ€™ll see you guys again down the road ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

Why I workout:

1. It builds my identity as someone who has self respect. I respect myself, therefore I look after my body.
2. Life is too short. F**k being that person whoโ€™s in their 50s whoโ€™s treated their body so badly that they now have a bad life. Iโ€™ll still be repping out pull ups in my 60s.
3. It makes me proud of myself. Every time I go to the gym, a jiu jitsu class, or anything else, Iโ€™ve accomplished something. And Iโ€™m happiest when iโ€™m the most proud of myself.
4. Iโ€™m getting myself ready to be a good role model for my future kids and grandkids. If I can become a character that theyโ€™ll admire, then theyโ€™ll be more likely to follow my lead with things.
5. It puts me in a better head space. It doesnโ€™t matter how I feel going into a workout - Iโ€™ll always feel better after. A session or class can single-handedly flip my mood and makes me much more positive for the rest of the day.

came to me after an injury that he suffered 7 days before he was due to travel to Sweden to represent the Royal Navy in Judo at the Swedish Open. He sustained a pinched nerve in his spine causing a significant lack of moment to the point where he was in A&E due to pain and breathing difficulties.

During 2x 1hr sessions, I worked to release the trapped nerve, and break up a vast amount of knotted muscle tissue in the area. This not only allowed Jonty to compete in the tournament but also allowed him to attend a training camp directly after ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

โ€œThe sports massage sessions were such a great help; without them thereโ€™s no way that I would have even got on the plane. Let alone traveled and competed so quickly after my injury! Aaron was extremely professional, and I will now regularly book sessions in with him so he can help me keep my body ticking over to help maintain my significant training regimen.โ€

The truth you need to hear ๐Ÿ‘‚

We canโ€™t dedicate our entire lives to getting in the most incredible shape possible. Weโ€™ve all gotta prioritise putting food on the table and keeping a roof over our heads. We may have family members to take care of. Now throw in personal struggles, household chores, social occassions, other hobbies, spending quality time with your partner, and everything in betweenโ€ฆ

Itโ€™s no wonder that we can let our training and diet slip sometimes.

While itโ€™s not good to make excuses, itโ€™s important to acknowledge these facts so youโ€™re not so harsh on yourself all the time. Never be your own worst enemy!

Be as consistent as you can in relation to your specific life, and acknowledge all your wins along the way! ๐Ÿ†

In the shape of his life ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
24 has been a strange client of mine. He had a habit of PTing with me for a while before stopping completely when his motivation levels started to dip. This unfortunately went on for a while.

So when Owen asked to start training with me again last august, I was skeptical. But in his own words, โ€œI gave him a lifelineโ€ and we started training again.

This time though, things have gone differently. Owen now knows that everyone gets motivation dips and itโ€™s completely normal to experience them. This means that heโ€™s kept his foot on the gas for a solid 9 months now, even when he โ€œhasnโ€™t been feeling it.โ€ His strength levels and muscle mass have gone up significantly as a result, to the point heโ€™s now in the best shape heโ€™s ever been in in his life!

Iโ€™m been very happy with Owens progress recently, you can clearly see from these photos that his body composition has completely changed. I also respect his new attitude towards health and fitness. If he keeps putting in this level of work, heโ€™ll only continue to look better and better. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Being completely honest, when I first met Lewis I wasnโ€™t sure how consistent or committed he was going to be ๐Ÿ˜… I knew he loved a drink and a night out, and didnโ€™t know if his priorities would be right.

Shortly after starting though, I was proven very wrong. From the very first week, Lewis was so consistent with everything that I told him to do. He smashed his calorie and protein targets almost everyday, and always went to the gym at least 4 times a week on top of our weekly PT session. He even played 5-a-side football twice a week on top of this! โšฝ๏ธ

Because he did so well from the beginning, he actually made a lot of progress in just a short period of time. Fast forward to now, and heโ€™s gained a significant amount of muscle, as well as losing over 1 1/2 stone! โฌ‡๏ธ

I have so much respect for him and the work that heโ€™s put in over the last year. This is only the beginning for him! I have no doubt that heโ€™s going to continue to progress more and more as time goes on ๐Ÿ“ˆ

๐Ÿ. ๐€๐๐ ๐๐š๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ! Do this at the top and/or bottom of your bicep and tricep exercises. This can help minimise any cheating and get you to establish a better mind-muscle connection. Try to do this for one second. ๐Ÿง โฃ

๐Ÿ‘. ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฉ๐ฌ, try to include an exercise with your elbows in front of your body (e.g. standing EZ Bar Curls) and an exercise with your elbows behind your body (e.g. incline dumbbell curls). This will lead to more well-rounded biceps. โฃ

Right now, my overall health and fitness might be better than ever. My weeks atm consist of 3-4 weights sessions, 2 jiu jitsu classes and some stretching every other day. My diet has also been on point recently. ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿ‰โฃ

But I know training, and life in general, is often seasonal. So yeah, training is going well atm. But I know that at some point, Iโ€™ll be going through a period where itโ€™s much harder to keep my foot on the gas. Because we know your personal life circumstances can change in an instant, for better or for worse! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผโฃ

So if youโ€™re going through a great training period right now.. great! Make use of your drive because your motivation levels will definitely dip at some point! ๐Ÿ“‰โฃ

Congrats to who is my January Client of the Month! ๐Ÿฅ‡

This is actually me and Carls first month of working together, and heโ€™s absolutely smashed it! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Every week this month, he has meal prepped and planned his food perfectly. Heโ€™s also been consistent with his own gym sessions, despite leading a very busy life! The result is that heโ€™s down half a stone this month! โฌ‡๏ธ

Iโ€™m so pleased with the effort that heโ€™s put in and the determination that heโ€™s shown. If he keeps going at this rate, weโ€™re going to have a very successful year together ๐Ÿ“ˆ

It was year 9 biologyโ€ฆ ๐Ÿซ

And our teacher made us all weigh ourselves. I remember the embarrassment when I found out that I was underweightโ€ฆ for a girl. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

You know, some people claim itโ€™s hard to lose weight, but those people never view things the other way round. Iโ€™ve always had a ridiculously fast metabolism, to the point where I need 3500-4000 calories just to maintain my weight. Because of this, if I want to gain weight I literally need to commit my life and soul to it by eating all the time ๐Ÿคฃ

Weโ€™re all dealt a different hand in life, and we canโ€™t control this. We just have to play with the cards that weโ€™re given. Some people have an advantage when it comes to the gym. I definitely donโ€™t. But obviously the harder the journey, the greater the reward. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Over the years, Iโ€™ve slowly gained more muscle and strength.. and this is one thing that has really helped with my confidence. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

If you lack confidence yourself, the gym is hands down one of the best ways to change that. Be brave, join a gym, be committed, and watch your life change ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

Lee has been so consistent with both his training and his diet ever since we started training together 4 months ago! He listens to all my advice and implements every bit of it. Iโ€™m excited.

Iโ€™ve got a lot of new clients, which means there are lots of lives to change ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

I have my biggest seminar ever coming up soon with which will help so many people with their vices ๐ŸŽค

Iโ€™ve been invited to return to my primary school to deliver a motivational talk to the school on their 100 day anniversary ๐Ÿซ

I have a group client photoshoot coming up with , which will be a great experience and a massive confidence boost to those clients involved ๐Ÿ“ท

Iโ€™m also looking forward to continuing to work with , to get to the point where I can make videography an income stream ๐ŸŽฅ

Iโ€™m happiest when Iโ€™m most proud of myself and when Iโ€™m causing a positive impact on the people around me, and I feel like Iโ€™m moving in the right direction in a lot of ways atm. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

My mental health declined a lot 18 months ago, mainly because I wasnโ€™t where I wanted to be and felt lost about how to move forward in life again. Fast forward one year, and the story is very different. ๐Ÿ“–

This isnโ€™t to brag, anyone who knows me knows Iโ€™m not arrogant. But just like you should do in your fitness journey, I think itโ€™s important to take a step back sometimes and acknowledge the steps that youโ€™ve taken and the progress that youโ€™ve made. No one else caused that, it was you! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

Schools, the media, even friends and family sometimes.. all of which feed us false ideas, and tell us the best thing to do is play it safe. This gradually forces so many people to lead an unfulfilling life because theyโ€™re too scared to go against the norm. โฃ

Iโ€™ve always tried my best to resist these assaults. Iโ€™ve taken several risks throughout my life. Some have backfired, yet I have 0 regrets.โฃ

Because the sting from the failures have always taught me lessons, before the pain disappeared completely. But itโ€™s hard for the โ€œwhatโ€™s ifโ€™sโ€ to escape my head sometimes. โฃ

Maybe Iโ€™ll accomplish everything I want to. Maybe I wonโ€™t. But either way, Iโ€™ll be able to die satisfied one day knowing that Iโ€™ve tried.

When I left my old gym 6 months ago, I completely rebuilt my PT client base. Heather is one of just 2 people who Iโ€™ve kept training from there, but Iโ€™m so glad weโ€™ve carried on! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผโฃ

Before, she would never train on her own, always coming up with some bizarre and questionable excuses as to why that was the case ๐Ÿค” but recently, thatโ€™s changed. She now trains every single week at her local gym without me, on top of our PT sessions! Her training more has led to far stronger lifts and way better progress in the gym. Sheโ€™s edging closer towards some great milestones in the gym now, and Iโ€™ll be every proud of her when she gets there! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผโฃ

Itโ€™s been an awesome 6 months. I published a book. I took up jiu jitsu. I took up videography. I switched my workplace. Ive hosted 2 seminars, and Iโ€™ve been on a couple of holidays.โฃ

Because Iโ€™ve had quite a lot on my plate, Iโ€™ve been training in the gym a little less this year (Iโ€™ll always say it how it is.) But after seeing this photo, Iโ€™m actually pretty content with where Iโ€™m still at aesthetically. Especially because Iโ€™ve just picked up the pace with my training again! โฃ

The people Iโ€™ve been hanging out with more recently take their training really seriously, and it has definitely been rubbing off on me. โฃ
