Lancaster University has received a report from another institution of students being approached by scam callers posing as university finance staff.

Students in the UK are being targeted by callers who claim to be from their university finance team and who tell the student they have been a victim of bank fraud.

These calls sound convincing, and may even try to show you 'evidence' by logging into sites, etc, but are fake calls made by criminals to gain personal information and money.
