On Saturday The Amelia-Mae foundation held their annual charity gala to celebrate another great year. To our surprise it was announced that they would be donating £5,000 to help support United Minds in their journey and carry on the work we are doing. We can’t thank everyone enough at The Amelia-Mae foundation for this generous donation. For a group like us this is massive and will really help push us forward. Thank you from everyone involved at United Minds 💙

World Mental Health Day 💙 10th October 2024
On Mental Health Awareness Day, we are reminded of the importance of open conversations about our emotional well-being. Mental health affects us all, whether we’re struggling ourselves or supporting loved ones, and yet, so many people still suffer in silence. This is why raising awareness and fostering dialogue is crucial.
Talking about our emotions can be difficult, but it is one of the most powerful steps we can take towards healing. When we share our feelings with others, we break down the walls of isolation and create a space where vulnerability is met with understanding, not judgment. Speaking openly not only lightens our own burden, but it encourages others to do the same.
Mental health should be treated with the same importance as physical health. Just as we go to the doctor when something feels off physically, we need to seek help when our emotions feel overwhelming. Checking in with each other regularly—whether it’s through casual conversations or deeper discussions—can make a world of difference. Sometimes, just knowing someone is there to listen can be enough to help us navigate life’s challenges.
This Mental Health Awareness Day, let’s commit to speaking up, listening actively, and showing compassion for ourselves and others. Let’s create a world where it’s okay to not be okay, and where no one has to struggle alone.
Thank you Bianca Louise on hosting a brilliant work shop on your wellbeing tool box and finding what works for you, 15 lads tonight including a couple for the first time 💙
