Our win of the week this week is Chris 🥇🥳🤩 Chris came to us with knee pain. He said he felt like he wouldn’t be able to run across the road or sprint due to his knee problem. He had a few sessions with us and then he tested if he would be able to run across the road and sprint and he can 💪🏃‍♂️💨 And not only that, he feels confident that he can 🙌 Well done Chris!

Our Win of the Week this week is the lovely Sue 😌🥳 Sue came to us as she had excruciating pain after sitting and struggled to get out of her car. She now has NO pain at all 👏🏼 She has been on long car journeys and been able to get out of the car with no problems 😁 —————————————————— Sue was treated purely by the Be Activated Technique, which is a new technique we are using, here at ABLE2. Eccentric calf raise- 6 seconds lowering phase 8 reps for 3 sets. 3.Heavy slowe resistance calf raise- 6 seconds up 6 seconds down 10 reps 3 sets. Here’s our top 3 exercises to help with runners knee💪🏻. 1. Seated single leg raise-3 sets of 10 reps with a pause at the top. 2. Our win of the week this week is the lovely Carole 🏆 Carole has been a client of ours for years, however, she recently called needing an urgent appointment as she had torn her calf and could hardly walk ☹️ Carole had a grade 2 tear in Gastrocnemius (which is the calf). Thankfully, we were able to offer Carole an urgent appointment (within 24 hours of her calling). Carole received a full assessment and treatment, she was: * Given a crutch by us to help her walk * Shown how to properly use the crutch in the Studio and on the stairs * Shown gentle exercises and stretches that will help promote healing and enable her to carry on walking in a normal way and continue with her daily activities Carol will need intensive Physiotherapy so she can make a full recovery, however, after just 1 week, she is already feeling a lot better and able to put more weight on her leg. Well done Carol 😁☺️ It is so important with tears to get them checked out as if you continue to walk with a tear it will only get worse. If you have a tear you need to not put too much load through the muscle as it’s recovering. Simply our body weight whilst walking will be too much and could cause the problem to be more painful and delay healing.
