(I know, my captions are so original 😂)

I don't know how people sit for ages trying to think of witty captions and what not. I don't have the time for it, I just about get 2 minutes to actually POST something and even that is punctuated with interruptions (take this post for example. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time this morning that I've opened instagram just to post this picture with my unoriginal caption, but each time before I could hit "post", I had to attend to something or another and left the post hanging.)

I guess for me, at this moment in time, I have too many other things that take priority over coming up with a good caption for each and every thing I post.

Will that affect my reach and engagement and all that other stuff? Maybe 🤷‍♀️

Do I care?
No, not right now anyway, because like I said, this is so far down my priority list right now.

Maybe one day I'll have the time and mental energy for it, and I'll be able to commit a lot more time to my instagram page, but that day isn't today.

Anyway, guess my cliche caption turned into a little personal insight, so at least that's something 🤷‍♀️😂

Choices, choices

She wanted a simple "Welcome" sticker on the top, so there you have it!

When the councillor of Preston herself orders sweet jars from you 😱

She wanted to include these in little welcome packs that she was giving to refugee families who have just come from Afghanistan. What a nice gesture, and what an honour for me to be able to contribute to the joy that those families, and children especially, would experience when they receive these. Those smiles are worth everything 🥰

I can't imagine what it must have been like for those families to have to leave their homes behind and flee to another country. I can't imagine the difficulties they must have experienced or the trauma that will stay with them for an unknown period of time. I can't imagine what it must have been like for those children, the fear they must have been living in, the confusion they must have felt. It breaks my heart thinking of these things, but it brings me so so much joy knowing that they have been welcomed into our country, where they will hopefully have a better life than the one they left behind.
