We are based in North West Lancashire, and offer a number of unique opportunities for you to take part in one of the oldest forms of camping that dates back to the early pioneers. This is camping without tents and using the minimum of equipment, cooking on open fires with or without utensils. We are interested in showing people the beauty of camping with the minimum of equipment using woodcraft, a
Adventure Pioneers Northwest community interest company (CIC) something a friend and myself setup to to benefit the local community doing outdoor activity's has just received a small grant to help with our new project outdoor activity's for all that will benefit the local community and surrounding area our thanks go out to the National Community Lottery Fund.
Good luck Adventure Pioneers and fears to your future.
Its been some time since our last post, it was touch and go for a while but we are back! During lock-down we had some time to consider what we were going to do in the future as a none profit organization and one of the thing we needed to do was to re- register ourselves with Companies House having made a mistake the first time, If you have ever had to deal with them the you will know it takes time but our new registered name is Adventure Pioneers Northwest CIC but to you plain old Adventure Pioneers. What is the difference we are now a Community Interest Company, A community interest company is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximize profit for shareholders and owners. CICs tackle a wide range of social and environmental issues and operate in all parts of the economy. By using business solutions to achieve public good, it is believed that CICs have a distinct and valuable role to play in helping create a strong, sustainable and socially inclusive economy. Something a friend and myself started to encourage people both young and old to do something outdoors as a family, individual or group and too enjoy what the countryside has to offer, but we are feeling a bit low at the moment with everything that's going on and are wondering what we will be doing in the future all the best Alan

If you want young people to grow to their full potential like the mighty Oak tree, then they need the same things a healthy environment, room to grow, plenty of fresh air, sun and rain and plenty of encouragement.
The ADVENTURE PIONEERS could do all this for you!
We have now got our new Youth Organization up and running the Adventure Pioneers. As a voluntary organization we want to provide a safe and friendly environment, where young people can work together and enjoy the experience of outside learning.
To do this we will provide practical instruction and help in greenfield camping, bushcraft, backwoods, including cooking and the use of camp ovens, shelter building, improvised tools and utensils, camp craft and gadgets, camp safety and layout, fire lighting technique's, basic knots and lashings, pioneering team building and leadership skills and scenarios amongst others. We are always available to help other organizations and youth groups in the instruction of outdoor learning if and when possible, we also want to help and encourage family members, including parents and grand parents to actively take part in our outdoor learning plan and help the young people.
Some photos from West Lancs county Troop into March, unfortunately no one from Wyre District Scouts attended although the ADC for scouts was there? We all had a good time although it was a bit cold.
