The roadworks are an absolute joke, that just isn't funny anymore, far too narrow roads by the new market square will mean gridlock when a bus stops, but our end of town is unaffected, and all the local business are still desperately trying to keep trading even with reduced footfall and customers venturing into town. Please shop local or be prepared for a vastly different high street going forward # # #

A fantastic day has been planned by Kirkham Cultural Consortium, a voluntary group. Planned to officially open Market Square and celebrate all the amazing artwork made by individuals and community groups over the last year, bringing alive Kirkham's rich heritage.

🎺 Have you made a lantern? - we can't wait to see them 😍 . Bring it along and enter the competition and join the procession.

🎺 keep a look out for more free lantern making workshops in February.

Look who's back!

It's been nearly 11 weeks since the dreadful road surface on Meagles Lane near Elswick took out our beautiful Ginnie, leaving the shop closed for hours whilst I waited for a recovery van and chatted to the locals about the disgraceful road maintenance.

Since then, it's been hire vans, delays, incompetence, inconvenience, expense, stress and hours on the phone and filling out forms...

The insurance company wrote off a perfect vehicle due to her needing a new engine, so after much negotiation and advice from the fabulous Will at Perrys Bury we have her repaired, reinsured and as perfect as ever with a new engine

The inconvenience and stress of this has intense and the council need to get that road repaired as a priority, as if I'd been doing anywhere near the National speed limit I'd have ended up in a field and possibly not breathing.

But thankfully, all is well...though we're a bit financially broken

Ginnie is back and Pink Tree has her beautiful van again 😍

Huge thanks to all who helped with this, especially Will, my Daddy, Naze Lane Garage , M&K Motors Ltd for all the hire vans and Nigel for working his magic on the repairs.

It may be a wet day in Warton, but there's a warm welcome awaiting you from 1pm until 7pm today at Frank Anthony Kitchens
