How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit?

I have enjoyed my time at Pro Fit due to the range of movements I have been introduced to and even when I’ve struggled all the coaches will adapt the movement for me. I have met a wide range of people and it feels like a community and it has helped me improve my confidence and happiness. It’s my happy place
 
How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?

Being at pro fit has helped me build my confidence as the coaches encourage me to lift heavier but also let me see that heavier isn’t always best and sometimes you have to drop back down to get the movement right and therefore helping me feel stronger both physically and mentally
 

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

My endurance has become better, my energy levels are far better and that’s allowed me to get through my revision and do well on my exams because of the mental strength it has provided me with
 

Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

Yes – I now get up at 5am most morning - which kickstarts my day - I can now cycle 20 miles in an hour whereas I was only able to do 10 miles an hour before joining Pro Fit
 
Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?
 
Yes most definitely, because when I first joined I was pretty scrawny and my nutrition was pretty poor and I didn’t have the energy levels to sustain much exercise and I now feel strong, and I am encouraged at every opportunity to give it my all and I can now confidently compete against my mother (much to her dismay🤣)

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit?
I absolutely love coming to Pro Fit and never feel that dread of it being a planned gym day and never feel that I am dragging myself there.

I have been a member of a gym continuously for over 25 years and would regularly cry off the gym because I felt too tired or generally just couldn’t be bothered.

At Pro Fit I look forward to heading to Pro Fit and feel like I have arrived home when I walk in the Pro-Fit family door for a workout with my Pro Fit family.
 
How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?
Previously for me, going to the gym was all about trying to lose weight and to do that my focus was all cardio.

The Pro Fit team have redirected my focus to be on building muscle to become stronger and I started to see results very quickly and now look more lean and toned and feel more confident.

Last year I was told that I was pre-diabetic, despite all of the cardio that I was doing. Going through the menopause had caused me to gain weight round the middle and no matter what I did I just couldn’t shift it.

Now my lean body mass is increasing, total fat mass is reducing and there has been a reduction in fat mass and a significant reduction in visceral fat.
 
Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed possible before?
I can now do push ups on my toes and have even managed to do them with a weight on my back! I had only ever managed them on my knees before.

I never thought I would have been able to do chin ups which I can now do, albeit assisted with a band, but I am determined to bang out a few of chin ups unassisted by the end of the month.
 
Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?
I definitely would recommend Pro Fit and have already recommended it to several of my family, friends and work colleagues. I tell them that this is not like any other gym I have been a member of. I used to feel alone in other gyms. At Pro Fit everyone knows your name and you truly feel welcome and part of a family.

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit?

Since the very first time I walked through the door as a guest at a community night I knew this was the gym for me! Every single person, trainers and gym-goers were so welcoming and encouraging. Everyone I spoke to that night spoke so highly of the gym and they weren’t wrong!

How is Pro-Fit helping you get stronger?

Pro-fit has enabled me to get a consistent gym routine. Before joining Pro-Fit I tried a few different gyms but I never had a gym routine like I do now and I have never wanted to go to the gym like I do now! I am a keen footballer, and play for Preston North End Ladies. Since joining Pro Fit I have much more stamina, therefore my performances has improved and I can perform for longer

Have you noticed any difference in your day to day life since becoming stronger?

I’m more aware of my body, the impact of food and exercise on my mental health and also how the food I eat affects my training.

Can you do anything know that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

Since joining Pro-Fit I ran my first sub 30min 5km in roughly 7 years and took part in my first Born Survivor Event.

Would you recommend Pro-Fit and why?

100% would recommend Pro-Fit to anyone. It’s a unique gym environment, with a family atmosphere where everyone is supported to achieve their goals no matter what they are or what their current fitness levels are!

Have you enjoyed your time at PF?

Having joined Pro-Fit 15 months ago as a complete novice to training the enthusiasm and support of all the coaches and members made me feel welcome and positive about the journey to fitness from day 1. That feeling is what makes it easy to be consistent about my training regime and has lead to fitness and weight loss results I never would have imagined.

How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger and more confident ?

Aside from the challenges of lifting heavier in the gym I love my golf. Part of the reason for wanting to get fitter was the realisation that my golf game was suffering due to my body. As I’ve got fitter and stronger my game has improved that much that I’ve just won my first major competition at my golf club

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

Living alone in a first floor apartment I can now bring my weekly shop and my gym gear in from the car in one trip 😆 I can also move any piece of furniture without needing to ask for help from anyone.
 
Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

Deadlifting 100kg and unassisted chin ups were unthinkable when I first started but I also loved being part of team Pro-Fit for Born Survivor so much that I’m doing it again!

Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?

I would recommend Pro-Fit to anyone and actually have someone I work with starting in September. The results I’ve had speak for themselves and ‘when you’re here you’re family’ feels so true

Isabelle Cross 👏👏👏

Since joining the Pro-Fit Family in November 2022 Isabelle has gone from strength to strength!

Her strength has improved greatly, being able to complete multiple unassisted pull up and deadlift over her bodyweight for multiple reps.

She also set the pace for other members to chase on the cardio kit, particularly the ski erg!

This has all carried over to her fitness outside of the gym where she has been able to bring her 5k run time down under 25mins!

During this time we’ve also seen Isabelle grow personally, her confidence has increased, coming out of her shell in sessions.

Her commitment is also admirable, training throughout her GCSE period, even continuing with her 6am training sessions!

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit

I’ve enjoyed Pro Fit from the first day I came, everyone was so inviting and friendly. I was quite anxious coming in for my first session but I was made to feel welcome straight away, the coaches take the time to get to know you personally so help modify the session to suit your fitness level.

How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?

My main goal when I joined was to get lean and strong, I didn’t realise the impact it would also have on my mental health. I feel stronger now both physically and mentally and I’m so grateful for Pro Fit coaches and members for this.

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

Since joining I have noticed such a shift in mindset. I love going to the gym which is definitely not something I would have said in the past (as the girl that always skipped PE at school!) I love being able to increase my weights or finally being able to do a challenging exercise.

The day to day changes that I have noticed since starting at Pro-Fit?

I’m training to stay strong and healthy for my daughter and she has me as a role model to understand fitness and health in a healthy way instead of the way social media portrays it.

Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before

A year ago today I wouldn’t have believed I’ve been a member of a gym and consistently trained for so long. After recent spinal surgery I had got myself in a rut again but the coaches continually checked in with me and have helped me get back to training in a safe way.

Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?

Yes, absolutely! It sounds cliche but Pro Fit is so much more than a gym to me, I genuinely feel welcomed and looked out for inside and outside of the gym. The monthly community days are so much fun it’s great to see everyone all together.

How did you feel before joining Pro-Fit?

Honestly, Fat and lazy, I knew something needed to change, I have been to a couple of different gyms and never really lasted longer than 6 months. I’m now nearly 2 years into Pf 😱.

How have you enjoyed your time at pro fit and how has your life and body changed?

Every session is enjoyable, and the ease of not having to research your own programs is amazing and it takes away the risks of overtraining and minimises the risk of injury.

I have overall lost 19.3kg (16.8kg of fat) & 23.9 cm around my waist.

Do you do anything now that you wouldn’t have done before pro-fit?

Preparation, my breakfasts & dinners for the week and all prepared on a Sunday morning. This gives me additional time during the week that allows me to go on walks with my dog.

Would you recommend pro fit and why?

Yes! Pro fit would be my recommendation to anyone looking for a gym where they want to feel comfortable and not judged, every time you walk through the doors you feel welcome.

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit? 

My enjoyment and love for this place is an understatement!

It’s a home away from home, somewhere I am always greeted with smiles and fully supported through whatever my journey (this includes not only the coaches but also by other members too!).

How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?

Pro-Fit has helped me stronger, both physically and mentally.

I am encouraged to challenge myself, not only inside but outside the gym! I truly believe the years I’ve been with Pro-Fit are what have enabled me to continue to train and exercise well in some way/shape/form through injury and pregnancy (still going at 7 ½ months). 

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

I love how strong, fit and healthy I’ve become since being with Pro-Fit.Going for long dog walks, partying at Glastonbury or still training 4 times a week while pregnant (and enjoying it) seems relatively easy to me but I believe this is only because of the hard work put in beforehand. 
 
Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

I used to dislike the gym. Not in a million years would I have ever thought I would love turning up to the gym and feel even better having been (even on a bad day!). I don’t like missing a session and not because I feel bad or have any guilt, purely because I love what I do, how it makes me feel knowing what my body is capable of, and ultimately, I now love going to the gym – because of Pro-Fit. Who’d have thought?! 

Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?

Pro-Fit and the people involved are simply awesome. The place, the ethos, the coaches, the members, the vibe, the community and family is quite literally for everyone. And I genuinely believe that it can make anyone’s lives better, in more ways than one.

Have you enjoyed your time at Pro-Fit?

I really look forward to my training sessions at Profit. The staff are knowledgeable and engaging and the sessions feel like they are just the right length. The trainers are all really approachable and have managed to create great work outs that are both challenging and fun.


How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger

I started Profit to help with my mobility following a diagnosis of arthritis in my spine. Since starting training with Adam a year ago my mobility has improved and I feel stronger and fitter and I definitely have more energy - joining Profit was definitely the best decision that I made in 2023.

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

The day to day changes that I have noticed haven’t just been about being physically stronger - training definitely helps with overall mental well being. Since joining Profit, I have trained consistently for the first time in years. Each session is a good way to switch off from every day stresses for a short time and mentally reset.

Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

I have always enjoyed exercise, but like most people, I let life and work get in the way and my fitness suffered. Once I was out of a routine, I found it really difficult to be motivated as every time I tried to get back into training, I was frustrated that I could not do the same exercises that I used to do. Training consistently means that I am able to do everything I used to, and more including press ups!

Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?

I recommend Profit to everyone! It is a great gym for all levels. It is a friendly environment where the trainers manage to cater for individual needs and levels in every class.

How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?

Training at Pro Fit has had a huge impact on my strength. I am now able to do so much more because I am stronger. The team sessions are designed to build up strength in all areas of your body, and the coaches always encourage you to give a bit more – building more and more strength in each session.

Have you noticed any difference in your day to life since becoming stronger?

I really noticed a difference – it’s the little things that are the big things like being able to lift our 30kg dog Ebi out of the car with ease. And I have so much more energy for the hills when I train run with Ebi and my husband. Also things like buying the 20kg bags of corn for our rescue chickens – I now don’t need any help with the bags. It feels amazing to be this strong, and much more independent

Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?

I am now my Dad’s ‘Dry Stonewalling’ apprentice. I love that he can teach me this skill, but that I feel comfortable lifting the heavy stones because I know how to do it safely. It’s such a lovely thing together but it definitely requires strength!

I also love how I’m a good role model for my niece and nephews and we can enjoy being healthy active together.

Would you recommend Pro Fit and why?

I sometimes battle with my mental health, but the team sessions and encouragement from the coaches especially Lani – really is the best medicine

I also know that my mindset has changed. I am committed to investing in my fitness for life now, and that I am training for my 70 year old self. I would 100% recommend Pro Fit to everyone whatever your level of fitness, everyone is made to feel welcome and fully supported.

How have you enjoyed your time at pro fit?

I have never done PT training before, when I initially signed up I was quite nervous. Ever since I first walked in the gym I have been made to feel very welcome, whilst the 6am classes have been hard I’ve met a great group of people and really enjoy it. I look forward to the sessions.

How is pro fit helping you become stronger?

I am feeling stronger bother physically and mentally. The trainers are encouraging me to progress and lift weights I wouldn’t attempt on my own! I really benefit from their support.

Have you noticed and difference in your day to day life since becoming stronger?

I have been doing the 6am classes, this puts me in a good mindset and I make better healthier decisions throughout the day. Being stronger makes me feel more confident. I find day to day tasks easier and running around after my children more enjoyable as I have more energy.

Can you do anything now that you didn’t think was possible before?

I’ve never been able to do a press-up, although they’re not perfect I am getting better. When I first started my coordination was terrible and I really struggled with some of the exercises however now it’s becoming more natural. I never thought I’d be able to fit 5 days training into family life however by doing so I’m more fun to be around at home and I’m setting a good example for my three daughters.

Would you recommend PF and why?

I would definitely recommend Pro Fit, the support and encouragement from the trainers is amazing. I’ve never felt out of place even when I’ve found movements difficult they adapt them to suit each individual. Pro fit really is a gym where everyone is made to feel comfortable and welcome!

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro Fit?
 
I enjoy my time at pro fit as the trainers and other clients always spur you on to do better. It makes me feel good that they have more confidence in my ability than I have at times.
 
How is Pro Fit helping you to become stronger?
 
PF helps me to get stronger but making me accountable for what I’m doing, the advice they give is second to none, I’ve never been in an environment like this where the trainers genuinely care about your progression, there are times when I really don’t think I can manage a particular move but they always find a way to coax me to try it
 
Have you noticed any difference in your day to day life since becoming stronger?
 
I have noticed my general strength in every day life, my energy levels are most definitely up. I don’t shy away from heavy lifting and I not only feel physically stronger but mentally as well. My mental health is the best it’s been since joining PF and it means I can cope with what general life throws at me far better.

Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?
 
I have always wanted to be able to do press ups and I can now do them confidently and my progression on them has been brilliant, even when I’ve been injured they have adapted them for me so that I can still improve.

From a personal point of view, I started with peri menopause before joining PF and was struggling with my symptoms, it floored me and I lost all my confidence, 18 months later my sleep is back to being good, my symptoms have all gone and I feel like I have got ‘me’ back. PF has played a huge part in this 🫶
 
Would you recommend Pro Fit?
 
I recommend PF to everyone, my children are seeing me set an example to them about health and fitness and following suit, the gym truly has a family atmosphere, the support is immense and the strength and cardio workouts are possible for all fitness levels and bring you out of your comfort zone

How have you enjoyed your time at Pro-Fit?
 
YES!!! The PT and Team Training sessions are my favourite parts of my week. I was so nervous when I had my first session back in 2023, but Dean, like the other PF coaches was so kind and patient and instantly made me feel at ease.  Since then, I’ve evolved and I bring a new purpose to each session. 
 
How is Pro-Fit helping you to become stronger?
 
When I started back in 2023 I could barely do 2.5kg shoulder presses -  I’d never trained in this way before.   Now I can deadlift about 80kg, and I can do things in the gym, I thought were for bodybuilders before…not 40 year old women!!  (I’m now 41 and stronger than I’ve ever been in my life!!)
 
It has been more than building physical strength – I now have a stronger mind, more resilience, more determination and much more confidence, which I use both in and out of the gym
 
Have you noticed any difference in your day-to-day life since becoming stronger?
 
Absolutely.  Everything is easier, general moving just feels less hard work. My flexibility is better too, I feel younger inside.  Every day I’ve got a sense of achievement just by showing up!
 
Can you do anything now that you wouldn’t have believed was possible before?
 
I’ve always believed that anything is possible.  I was concerned, given my age…that losing weight, gaining strength, and having defined toned arms and legs was something only those with unlimited time could achieve. I was wrong.  I didn’t think I could look the best I’ve ever looked and the strongest I’ve ever been.  I thought that ship had sailed.  
 
Would you recommend Pro-Fit and why?
 
For the expertise, they know how to get results.  They know where to make adjustments and how to build your confidence and how to play to your strengths too.  It’s extremely rewarding.
