There's no quick wins in Muay Thai.
It's a hard sport to learn but one which builds character, resilience and heart. We take hits in sparring, exhaust our bodies and ask questions of ourselves after a tough session, interclub or fight.
The process takes time and discipline. Don't quit on yourself when times get hard, it doesn't matter how long you take to achieve your goals, so long as you keep working at them.

🌧 It's a gorgeous day outside so join us in the gym tonight for a bit of graft and positive progression. Remember turning up means you are progressing faster than if you didn't.

Sparring sessions
In sparring we do more than just rounds of work. We implement active techniques alongside our partners to capture the realism of a sparring round, an interclub or a fight. Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm to improve that fight IQ!

Sunday 18th august @ Redkite Thai Boxing. £25 per person from 11am until 1pm.

Thanks K-Dog!
Our resident Incredible Hulk Kieron Sedgwick will be deputizing our sessions this evening while Dan is away for the week. Kieron has represented the club several times in the ring, been with us to interclubs and embodies the true spirit of the gym.
Give him a great welcome tonight and get some guidance from one of our experienced members. Thanks for stepping up K-Dog!
Still working hard
Summer is often a hit and miss period for fitness. People have holidays booked, the weather is so nice you may not want to be cooped up in a hot gym. It is important however to still maintain a level of consistency to maintain all the hard work so far this year. Take 1 hour and brave the heat. Your body will thank you.

Thank you very much to Holly Maria Farrar for heading down last Thursday and capturing a few moments from our mixed session and sparring. We're really pleased to see the gym in a good place and even with the heat cranking up, everybody is putting in a great shift to meet their goals.

Assisted plank
Always eager to help each other at the gym, Sam did Karl a solid recently and helped with some weighted plank, adding 40+kg to his exercise.
Introducing the new Redkite Thai Boxing logo
We've been working hard behind the scenes to give the gym an update and a fresh look inside the gym and our business practices. It's with that in mind that we're very proud to reveal our brand new Redkite logo.
Keeping our traditions rooted in the name of the club, we took the British Red kite bird and our club's colour scheme to produce a simple, elegant and powerful symbol of what our club stands for "Nothing great without struggle".
With effort, perseverance and determination, all of our members can achieve their individual greatness and meet their personal goals. Thank you to all our members for their ongoing support from Will, Dan, Dom and Rach.
