🎶🍼 Why is song time with materials and shakers and reading touch-and-feel books so important in nursery?
Here are a few reasons:
Sensory Development: Babies and toddlers explore different textures and sounds, enhancing their sensory experiences.
Language Skills: Songs and books introduce new words and sounds, building early language skills.
Motor Skills: Handling shakers and touch-and-feel books helps develop fine motor skills.

We have had a wonderful week singing and reading to our children 👶 🌟
🌟 Our little hairdressers in the making! 🌟
Recently, our children have shown a keen interest in hairdressing. To nurture their creativity and fine motor skills, our staff organised a fun activity using cooked pasta as "hair" for the children to style. 💇♀️🍝
The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, engaging for long periods and socialising with their friends while creating unique hairstyles. It's amazing to see their imaginations run wild and their fine motor skills progress! 🎨✨
⭐️ Children had an absolute blast exploring our "Mud Gloop” sensory play activity, inspired by "Old McDonald Had a Farm"! 🐷🐮🐔
The children had a fantastic time safely getting their hands dirty with edible ingredients to create 'mud,' all while learning about farm animals. 🐄👩🌾
Sensory exploration like this is wonderful for early years development, enhancing their fine and gross motor skills, language development, social skills, imagination, creativity, concentration and even independence as they washed their hands afterward. Watching them laugh and learn together was the highlight of our day! 🌟
