SWISH Fibre’s director Alistair Goulden and Senior Project Manager, Karl Whittaker joined fellow members of SWISH and OMJ management teams to greet Windsor MP, Adam Afriyie, to our fibre build roll out in Ascot this week.

These works in the town are part of the government backed Project Gigabit roll-out that targets to expose 85% of UK properties to gigabit broadband by 2025.

OMJ have reached out to local communities with employment opportunities on this build. Recruitment opportunities currently exist for competent civils teams for the ongoing Ascot project and for the new project roll outs scheduled to be launched in the Home Counties in the months ahead.

OMJ in partnership with Contract Management Organisation, Morrisons Utility Services, and our client Cadent Gas have opened up a recruitment programme for Gas Trainees.
This Gas Trainee Programme will provide the right people with the opportunity to develop a career working on the Cadent gas distribution network.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds who are willing and want to start a career in the gas industry. Previous experience is not required but a willingness to learn and progress is essential.
The primary objective of the Gas Trainee Programme is to harness new talent and develop their competencies to allow them to progress a career in the replacement and maintenance of Cadent’s gas pipework infrastructure.
If you are successful in joining the Gas Trainee programme, a comprehensive technical training scheme will be provided, and this will take you through 12 months of training including gaining valuable on site experience along the way.
