In the 11 Plus, English course, we teach techniques to answer comprehension questions, multiple choice style and descriptive style comprehension, including long and short answers. We set regular words and spellings to be learnt and tested. We carry out timed assessments. We also cover spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG) to a very high level.

In this course, we assume the student attending this course is well versed with fundamentals in English and familiar with basic literacy techniques including reading, writing and SPaG appropriate to KS2 level.

Our All-Girls’ GCSE Revision Course give students who are going into Year 11 a head start. Tutors will review all Year 10 material, refreshing knowledge of content which children may forget due to being away from school and other educational activities.

At the end of Year 6, which marks the end of Key Stage 2, all children are required to take a set of National Curriculum tests known as SATs (Standard Attainment Tests).
Our SATs tuition programme includes two weekly sessions, homework and ongoing support and advice.
This course will support pupils with preparation for the SATs tests which occur in May. Our weekly group sessions will focus on maths, reading comprehension, spelling, punctuation and grammar relevant to the current Year 6 curriculum.
